The series is aimed at an audience of readers with an elementary knowledge of PLC programming, eager to learn advanced solutions, extensively tested on real systems. In modern computer programming, generally oriented to the development of "object-oriented" software, the developer strives, as much as possible, to resort to so-called "Design Patterns", standard solutions for frequently recurring problems. A design pattern describes a problem, particularly recurring in a given context, and then provide the heart of the solution to this problem. It is therefore possible to successfully reuse this solution, thousands and thousands of times, with the certainty of using an efficient and well-tested solution. In the present series, which deals exclusively with development on PLC-HMI, the term "design pattern" has been replaced by the term "automation recipe" for an easier understanding by the non IT reader. In the chapters of this book we will show in detail an automation recipe that can be reused in any PLC-HMI automation project that uses "electric motors". The recipe has also been optimized for operation with Scada supervision systems. This second book illustrates the automation recipe for measuring and monitoring quantities acquired with 4-20 mA current sensors. In detail, the first section, dedicated to the application domain, analyzes the various types of measurement used to acquire physical quantities such as pressure, level, flow, electric current and temperature.The second section deals with the development of combined software for both PLC and HMI. The logic of the two function blocks (UDFB), Conv4_20mA and AnalogSts are analyzed. The first block shows how to convert from analog 4-20 mA to engineering quantities, while the second one explains how to monitor the status of the analog signal based on preset parameters such as set-point, hysteresis, dead band, operational thresholds and first and second level alarms. For both functional blocks are developed in detail the relevant screens for displaying the values, the local monitoring of the states and the setting of adjustment parameters. In addition to the logic of the function blocks, two auxiliary subroutines are also discussed, VirtualAI and Init, to be called only once (singleton) in the main program. The third section shows, finally, the application of the concepts, developed in the previous chapters, to a concrete case of level control in a waste water pumping station. The HMI solutions have been extensively tested on the OCS, Operator Control System, manufactured by Horner Apg. OCS combines a Controller, Operator Interface, Network and I/O into a single product. While the author, has been widely using Siemens, Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc PLCs he has focused the books of this series on the Horner OCSs because Horner provides Cscape, an integrated development environment, extremely easy to use and above all completely free. All the logics, published in the book, have been developed using the IEC61131-3 compliant Ladder language; therefore it is extremely easy to migrate them on almost all the PLCs of other manufacturers. The same applies to HMI screens whose graphic controls are very similar on the different equipment offered on the market. The reader who already has experience with other manufacturers' equipment can therefore continue to use what he knows best.

Sekapur Sirih HMI; 2019, 2030, 2045 oleh : Nur Amin Saleh Latar Belakang Efek domino kegagalan pemerintahan abdurrahman Wahid hingga Jokowi melaksanakan agenda reformasi tidak hanya berdampak pada multi sektor riil Indonesia, memaksa dan menyeret nalar dominan mahasiswa terjebak dalam pelbagai problem issu sentral yang terus beruntut dan acapkali memancing narasi-narasi sumbang tanpa usai. Penguasa berhasil mengecoh nalar kritisme mahasiswa Indonesia 2000-2018; kesepakatan, perjanjian, bahkan proses diplomasi antar negara dan indonesia menjadi objek pasar bebas lahir tanpa protes. Ringkasnya, Pemerintah berhasil menghilangkan sebagian dari kedaulatan hukumnya (legal sovereignty) dan mahasiswa cenderung gagap memantik narasi-narasi tersebut. Kini negara dapat menjadi sangat lemah sehingga bahkan tidak mampu untuk kewajiban-kewajibannya yang paling sederhana. Pergulatan orang mercantile’s menjadi lebih terlihat dengan adanya kenyataan bahwa para politisi dan pemerintah, yang menguasai instrumen-instrumen kekuasaan negara, tidak dapat berbuat banyak untuk mengatasinya. Kini selalu berpikir bahwa kekuasaan dan pemerintah merupakan satu kesatuan yang tak terpisahkan. Dalam benak kita, pemerintah selalu memiliki kekuasaan (Erhard Eppler : 2005). NKRI terseret dalam device et impera oleh konspirasi global; asymmetric war berhasil melemahkan persatuan dan kedaulatan Negara terutama civil society. Streotype NKRI justru terjebak dalam paradoks yang tak ayal vis a vis terkait masa depan kedaulatan Negara di ambang bubar, meski prediksi novel ghost fleet hanya menjadi guyonan, tetapi kita cenderung lupa, distability kedaulatan benar-benar jelas terlihat, suka atau tidak, situasi sosial, politik, hukum dan ekonomi semakin tidak terkendali. Dekade 1990an, dunia terhentak akan prediksi Samuel Huntington tentang perebutan laut china selatan Amerika Serikat vs China. Meski kita mengadopsi relativism dalam nalar logika, tapi tidak dapat di pungkiri bahwa ada satu trend global yang tidak terbantahkan sejak awal dekade 2000 hingga sekarang; persaingan global tersebut benar-benar terjadi dan menggempur kawasan Asia Pasifik, termasuk Indonesia yang di paksa masuk sebagai fasilitator asymmetric war tersebut. Sasarannya telah sangat jelas; [1] membelokkan sistem sebuah negara sesuai arah kepentingan kolonialisme, [2] melemahkan ideologi serta mengubah pola pikir rakyat, dan [3] menghancurkan food security ketahanan pangan dan [4] energy security (jaminan pasokan dan ketahanan energi) sebuah bangsa, selanjutnya ”menciptakan ketergantungan negara target terhadap negara lain dalam hal food and energy security.” Pentingkah Wacana Global masuk dalam ruang pelatihan HMI? Inilah hal yang terpenting dalam prolog diatas, memantik, membangkitkan gairah intelektual dan pisau analisis para kader HMI. Sebagai himpunan yang lahir dengan pelbagai dinamika dan gesekan keras, kader HMI mestinya menjadi motor penggerak zaman. Sebab, tantangan terbesar kader HMI hari ini adalah keterjebakan dalam politics oriented. Tentu warisan gaya elitis tersebut tidak sepenuhnya keliru, sudah semestinya kader-kader HMI terdidik dengan politik sebagai pondasi dasar menjadi pemimpin. Tetapi, kegagalan terbesar HMI dalam 2 (dua) dekade terakhir adalah matinya nalar kritis menyikapi perubahan dan tantangan zaman. PB HMI terlalu fokus menyikapi bias-bias devide et impera yang menyerang Indonesia dari sisi demokrasi, sosial, politik, hukum dan ekonomi dalam ruang-ruang kurikulum pelatihan kader tapi rapuh berakselerasi dengan zaman. HMI 2019; Demokrasi & Politik 2019 bukan sekedar momentum demokrasi dan politik Negara, tapi menjadi satu fase penegasan; HMI lahir karena zaman dan tak akan mati tergerus oleh zaman. Intelektualitas dan ketajaman pisau analisis kader menjadi keniscayaan yang wajib diperjuangkan dan 2019 adalah gerbang para kader untuk melakukan konsolidasi intern dalam menyusun blueprint dan roadmap himpunan, memandang wajah HMI 2045. Roadmap adalah hal yang fundamental untuk menjadi objek diskursus, sebab kader HMI hari ini tidak cukup kuat menerjemahkan perjamuan suci kapitalisme di Indonesia; Asing & Aseng, TKA, Hoax, Pergulatan Ideologi, MP3EI, Asean Community hingga Penggadaian Aset-Aset Minerba dan obligasi Negara yang berdampak sistemik pada perangkat multi sektor riil. Perjamuan suci kapitalisme menjadi hal yang sangat serius, sebab negara di paksa melayani kegiatan enterpreneurial market-state dan mercantile market-state (Bobbitt dalam Heppler, 2009). Tidak hanya kader HMI yang kehilangan nalar intelektualitas yang tidak mampu membaca perjamuan suci kapitalisme tersebut, tetapi ‘nyaris’ dominan kritisme aktivis mahasiswa tercelup dalam pusaran demokrasi dan politik praktis. Tentu kritisme aktivis mahasiswa dibutuhkan sebagai satu instrumen fundamental dalam mem-filterisasi arus deras gelombang demokrasi dan politik 2019, tetapi era milenial itu tidak cukup bahkan sangat lemah. Mahasiswa di tuntut mampu membaca gelombang Asean Global Impact dan peta pergerakan para mercantile’s yang bersembunyi di balik kekuasaan, memainkan peranan, mengkonstruk Indonesia menjadi market-state. Ketatnya competitiveness SDM di era milenial dan tantangan Revolusi industri 4.0 yang mesti dipecahkan oleh kader HMI; [1] pembelajaran dan keterampilan inovasi; penguasaan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang beraneka ragam, pembelajaran dan inovasi, berpikir kritis dan penyelesaian masalah, komunikasi dan kolaborasi, kreatifitas dan inovasi; [2] keterampilan literasi digital serta [3] karir dan kecakapan hidup; fleksibilitas dan adaptabilitas, inisiatif, interaksi sosial dan budaya, produktifitas dan akuntabilitas, kepemimpinan dan tanggung jawab (Trilling & Fadel, 2009). Pelbagai tantangan zaman itu mempertegas kembali, menuntut HMI segera me-revitalisasi sudut pandang filosofis-teleologis dalam setiap ruang perkaderan dan tujuan HMI yang visioner itu menjadi titik episentrum perkaderan. Sebab, formulasi kata dan makna suatu tujuan tidak terletak di antara derak evolusi sejarah, melainkan pada alam cita-cita yang bersifat ideal dan sempurna. Karena itu, keliru pula-lah jika suatu tujuan demikian diagungkan tanpa di barengi dengan suatu kerangka kerja dalam realitas. Masa Depan HMI 2030 proyeksi Kependudukan BPS dan Bappenas 2010-2035 menjadi sentral diskursus yang mengusung tema Bonus Demografi 2030. Vis a vis teori dan analisis acapkali berbenturan dalam memandang tematik 2030 yang di nilai cenderung distorsi. Kita tidak perlu turut campur hingga menguras gizi intelektual untuk masuk dalam permasalahan kependudukan, perangkat sistem pemerintahan telah sangat kuat untuk hal tersebut. Tetapi sebagai roll control, Kader HMI harus memproyeksi efek rumah kaca bonus demografi yang menjadi trandmaker 2030. Meski kita tidak dapat dipungkiri, asumsi YIF menyatakan Indonesia masuk lima besar kekuatan ekonomi dunia pada 2030 adalah mendasar pada pelbagai analisis tajam pertumbuhan sektor riil (Yayasan Indonesia Forum : 2007). Tapi ancaman keberlangsungan negara dari biasa efek rumah kaca 2030 juga begitu besar. Efek rumah kaca 2030 yang dimaksud adalah kegagapan negara dalam mengontrol pasar yang begitu deras dan terjerumus dalam skema para mercantile’s, memaksa setiap warga negara menjadi mesin-mesin produksi swasta. Secara historis, perubahan-perubahan dalam teknologi militer yang menghasilkan negara baru; Princely State (1494-16480, kingly state yang melebur dalam territorial state (1648-1776), state-nation (1774-1914) dan nation state melalui suatu proses yang disebutnya dengan istilah long war (1914-1990) dan tipe nation-state itu akan digantikan oleh apa yang disebutnya market-state (Bobbit dalam Heppler, 2009 : 328). Proyeksi Indonesia menjadi Market-State; penguasaan mutlak mercantile’s atas segala multi sektor riil indonesia tentu akan terjadi pada 2030 apabila kemunduran dan kehancuran keabsahan Nation-State, Pemimpin negara-bangsa tidak dapat menjamin keselamatan warganya; tidak lagi menaati hukum nasional; tidak mampu mengendalikan kehidupan ekonomi dan mata uangnya, dan tidak mampu melindungi masyarakatnya dari ancaman-ancaman transnasional. Sebagai organisasi yang sustainable, HMI sejogjanya mulai dari sekarang telah mesti menyusun blueprint stategis dalam menjawab tantangan efek rumah kaca 2030 dengan dasar sudut pandang Visioner-Sustainable, yang dapat menjadi instrument fundamental kader dalam mempertahankan eksistensi HMI lintas generasi. Citra HMI 2045 Pembentukan wajah dan citra HMI ditentukan pada fase-fase pergulatan zaman menjelang 2045, yakni blueprint stategis HMI 2019 dalam menghadapi tantangan zaman yang merupakan agenda besar kapitalisme yang di sebut dengan tema bonus demografi 2030 dan menyusun Roadmap dalam menyambut Indonesia Emas 2045 sebagaimana secara mapan telah diproyeksikan Lemhanas (2016) dengan 4 skenario di susun oleh puluhan pakar itu ekslusif memaparkan Indonesia akan di dominasi oleh generasi yang berpendidikan tinggi, menguasai teknologi, komunikasi, aktif bermedia sosial dan terpapar dengan nilai-nilai global. Meski proyeksi tersebut masih menjadi bagian hipotesa, tetapi sejogjanya HMI telah menyusun Roadmap 2045 dan blueprint strategis 2030 tersendiri sebagai variabel pembanding para kader dalam mempertegas bahwa HMI adalah organisasi yang sustainable dengan zaman, wajah dan citra Indonesia 2045 ditentukan oleh tangan-tangan HMI. - - - Berdasarkan pelbagai analisis di atas, maka tepat kiranya jika sistem perkaderan HMI khususnya pada posisi Intermediate Training (LK II) mempertajam nalar kritis kader dalam mengidentifikasi 5 (lima) kualitas insan cita dan memberikan gambaran proyeksi Indonesia 2019, 2030 & 2045 untuk dapat memantik para kader dalam mempersiapkan penataan mental ideologi, moral serta sosial dan intelektual dalam mewujudkan penciptaan kader bangsa sekaligus kader ummat yang mampu menyambut tantangan zaman. Proyeksi 2019, 2030 & 2045 adalah struktur fundamental dalam pembentukan kader potensial di ruang Intermediate Training (LK II), sebab para kader tersebutlah yang akan menjadi bagian dalam dinamika perkembangan zaman dan perubahan-perubahan sosial secara strategis 5 (lima) hingga 10 (sepuluh) tahun ke depan. Keberhasilan pembentukan kader potensial akan menandai kesiapan kader HMI selain menggerakan roda organisasi di semua jenjang eksistensi, ini pun sekaligus akan mereproduksi kader itu sendiri dalam memenuhi segmen strategis kehidupan bangsa dan HMI benar-benar menjadi Harapan Masyarakat Indonesia sebagai roll control zaman.
