Following in the footsteps of A Glass Half Full, Lone Wolf and When Jack Sued Jill, Homeless In My Heart - Felix Dennis's long-awaited new collection of verse - is 'the story of a fool whose life was saved by poetry'. Felix Dennis's life has been a long series of unlikely events: incarceration by the British government in 1971 following the longest conspiracy trial in British history; recording a chart single with John Lennon; co-authoring Muhammad Ali's first biography; becoming one of the richest individuals in Britain; launching one of the most successful media brands in the world; falling into crack cocaine addiction; beginning the task of planting a huge native broad-leaf forest in the Heart of England; salvaging the wreckage of a life dedicated to hedonism; and, lastly, and most surprisingly of all, discovering that he could write the kind of poetry that people wanted to read and to hear. Now, with the publication of Homeless In My Heart, Felix Dennis's extraordinary talents have come to fruition - from ironic tales of darkness and savagery to hymns of praise for the glories of nature. Homeless In My Heart fulfils the promise predicted by the author and critic Tom Wolfe, who has called Dennis 'a 21st-century Kipling [whose poetry] rollicks and rolls with rhyme, meter and melody'.

This is a christian feel-good book about a 32-year-old woman who had life all figured out at age 17 when something traumatic happened to her. It changed everything. She dropped everything in her life until a homeless man came into town. In the beginning, she hated everything about him. But then he wiggled his way into her heart and changed her life forever. ******* Change. Transformation. Renewal. Is it even possible in a heart so hardened by hardship and years of distance? Although her name is oddly unique, her life is quite the opposite and nothing of a miracle. Daily sightings of a homeless beggar make her angry. Constant surprises leave her confused. Continual admiration from a stubborn man proves her pridefulness. But can God's love outweigh the chaos in her life and resurrect the deeply hidden pain of her heart? With a Bible-preaching dad who pushes too hard, and a humorous friend who doesn't even believe in God, the odds seem stacked against her. Trouble seems to always show up--a tragic past, a stranger's death she was unaware of that turns her world upside down. Not to mention a sister who does no wrong and is always in her face. She had life all figured out. That is until tragedy struck one particular night. Then it all changed. She managed to move on. Then over a decade later a homeless man walked into town. She hated him and all he stood for. But will he find a way into her heart? What transformations must happen in order to change her life forever? Or is change even possible after all the years of pushing everyone, including God, away?

It's been six months since Ashlyn Daniels was kicked out of her home. Six months since she stood up to her abusive stepfather and got a busted rib-and seeing all her things set ablaze in a backyard bonfire-for her trouble. Never going back. She doesn't need trouble...especially if trouble is tattoo artist Lane Garrett, who's six-feet-plus of tattooed hotness and a complete ass. Lane has spent the last decade fighting to support his family. To protect them. There's no room for romance, even with a fragile (yet amusingly feisty) stunner...even if she somehow manages to invade his world and his heart. But while some secrets are as visible as ink on the skin, others must remain hidden at all costs... Each book in the Written on my Heart series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order. ‘Touching, insightful and human – this book demands a social and, above all, a political response’ Jon Snow Tamsen Courtenay spent two months speaking to people who live on London’s streets, the homeless and the destitute – people who feel they are invisible. With a camera and a cheap audio recorder, she listened as they chronicled their extraordinary lives, now being lived four feet below most Londoners, and she set about documenting their stories, which are transcribed in this book along with intimate photographic portraits. A builder, a soldier, a transgender woman, a child and an elderly couple are among those who describe the events that brought them to the lives they lead now. They speak of childhoods, careers and relationships; their strengths and weaknesses, dreams and regrets; all with humour and a startling honesty. Tamsen’s observations and remarkable experiences are threaded throughout. The astonishing people she met changed her for ever, as they became her heroes, people she grew to respect. You don’t have to go far to find these homegrown exiles: they’re at the bottom of your road. Have you ever wondered how they got there?

This is a story of part of my lives journey with being homeless, and I can you that it is no piece of cake. It is a lot of frustration and work and having the faith to keep going from day to day. We were homeless for a long time and learned a lot out of it. God put it on my heart to tell my story, so that people really knows how it is, there are hundreds of thousands of people who are homeless all over the world. If you don't go through it then you really don't know how devastating and how hard this is, and when you do go through it you will better realize how people do struggle. You learn to appreciate the fact of when you do have it Good, you really do, whether you have very little or a whole lot of things, the thing that counts are people you are close to, and your place to call home. I don't have a lot, in one sense like others, but I really don't care because of what I went through I appreciate what I do have. You see it is lives situation that people end up homeless, being disabled, sick or lack of work, a lot of time it is not by choice. There are people that don't care but they don't want no responsibility either, I ran in to some of them and that is sad. I am so glad I am where I am at now, and with God's help more good things will come.

Come journey with me into the world of the homeless. It began with blankets that led me to a park bench and an incredible man who stole my heart. Sit with me as I visit with a registered sex offender who became changed by grace. Listen as I visit with a man who took a blade to his body, and to a young man who used tattoos to hide his pain. Meet the lady whose abusive father broke all of her fingers, and a young lady whose father beat her with a two-by-four. Meet these and others, and discover the sweet souls buried beneath their outer self. God provided me a glimpse of what He sees. At times, it was overwhelming, and at times inspirational. Whether from under the bridge or the downtown park, so many forgotten people shared their lives with me. From those others have shunned, I experienced love. In places I could not have imagined, I witnessed beauty, grace, and strength. Join me as I introduce you to my homeless friends and stand ready for your heart to change when you see them through the eyes of Jesus.
