Katmai National Park: 7,000 square miles of rugged, isolated wilderness in southern Alaska. Vast stretches of frozen tundra, deep ancient forests, and impassable ravines ruled by the massive volcanic God, Devils Desk. Despite the vigorous protests of Michael, the Talbots and the Tynes head to the park for a much-needed vacation away from it all. The adventure begins with deluxe cabins, mind-blowing scenery, and a cast of suspiciously odd characters, including a few old friends they’ve never met. But the idyllic surroundings quickly devolve into a hellscape as a mutilated body is discovered, the earth breaks apart around them, the worst storm in history moves in….and a terrifying race of flesh devouring monsters hunts down the desperate, forsaken group. Yep. They should have gone to Vegas.

Its 1955 and the most recent expedition to the Himalayas has failed. Its purpose was to locate the whereabouts of the mythical Soma plant. The Soma plant is supposedly unique to the Himalayan Mountains and according to Nepalese legend, it has restorative powers to cure and heal and some say to prolong life. Its exact location was thought to have been found 10 years earlier with the discovery of a photograph of a strange plant that resembled a 4-leaf clover. It was amongst equipment salvaged from a previous expedition where all participants perished. This had fueled further exploration, financed by large pharmaceutical companies keen to find the plant and synthesis medicines that might make millions of dollars for their shareholders. The latest attempt present day saw the expedition team killed under mysterious circumstances, with the exception of one Sherpa guide. The survivor escapes with two broken legs having jumped from a cliff edge, while his compatriots were left back at base camp mutilated. The Sherpa's account spoke of an attack, rather than an avalanche. An attack by a mountain man as the locals term the creature. Western culture call it a Yeti or an Abominable Snowman. The Dakin Foundation, a leading pharmaceutical research company who provided funding for the expedition is undeterred and it seeks help from New York University School of Medicines top researcher, Eleanor Steed, to carry out a second expedition to find the Soma plant. Steed is terminally ill with months to live and accepts the commission, keeping her condition a secret. She does not necessarily believe in the plant's existence or its properties, it is just an opportunity to be involved in one last piece of fieldwork in a place she had never visited. Her condition is managed through medication. Elsewhere in the world a number of countries are testing bombs in the pacific and Australian outback. These man made effects on the earth's environment create a number of breaches between the earth plain and that of the Continuum. As was the case several thousand years earlier a breach opened briefly amongst the Himalayan Mountains. The Continuum Council acts swiftly to close the doorway but not before a creature called a Yetiad steps through. Unlike the family of Yetiad that did the same thousands of years before this single Yetiad comes through unprepared. Instead of a wise, knowledgeable creature living in harmony with Tibetans, it is an angry, murderous creature whose sole objective is to find the Soma plant now it has tested blood. Blood and the sap of the Soma plant combined prolong the life of the Yetiad and has the capability of doing the same for humans. The Continuum Council contacts Project Earth Director, Max Von Konsetin, telepathically seeking his help to stop the rampant Yetiad. Max in turn asks for the help of part human, part vampire, Robert Maldron. Maldron is seconded into Steed's team. While Steed searches for the Soma plant, Maldron must deal with the Yeti, the shortened name given by the Tibetan monks.

Father Jean came and stood next to Darby as he reclined and said, I will be returning to the abbey. I will pray for yer soul Darby and ask god what ye need to pay. It could be quite a substantial sum as ye have lived a very sinful life. Yes, yesI know, but it will be worth it to avoid the fiery flames. For the first time, and in a perplexed tone of voice, Christian spoke to Father Jean, You are not serious? Making Darby pay for forgiveness, a gift that is freely given. With a look of incredulity, Father Jean replied, Darbys sins are great and the cost of penance must equally fit his crimes. You heard him. The next time he meets the Death Angel he will be taken to Hell and left there. If he doesnt pay for his sins he has no hope of avoiding the fiery flames. Shaking in anger, Christian looked straight into the eyes of Darby OHerlihy and said, Do not listen to this fool, Darby! To be a Christian is to believe that Jesus Christ came to this world to offer His life as a ransom for those who would believe and entrust their lives to Him. His shed blood upon the cross is the payment for your sins. It is not something we as men pay for monetarily! If that be the case, then the poor and needy are doomed to die and to be carried to the fiery pit to burn there forever separated from a loving and caring God. It is written: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, John 3:16 [KJV] that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. In anger Father Jean responded, Where are these written Words you speak of and who has them? Are you the Caretaker of them? If you are produce them so that we can see them for ourselves.

A biting memoir with an over the top package! This is your warning! This book contains Count Dracula’s memoirs. And as you would expect, there are plenty of hideous creatures in it—giant yetis, insidious werewolves, slimy fish monsters—maybe you shouldn’t read it! You might learn things you didn’t know about monsters before. Hair-raising things that make these monsters appear . . .friendly . . .even downright human. So, take my advice. Put the book down and move on before you get caught in its clutches. Sincerely, Van Helsing PS-But if you do read this book, you will be enchanted by the incredibly imaginative full-color illustrations through out, the fabulously appealing cover, and the original wit captured within.

The journey to save the Bhutanese will require all of Jeff's and Trudy's strength and courage, not to mention their fly-fishing skills to make their story plausible. But will it be enough? Ezekiel-Amadeus is the eldest of nine children, all raised by a single mother, and tends to show total independence a lot younger than expected. An enigmatic change in his body compared to his fellow teenagers and a past life he cannot remember, he rises to prove himself capable of standing up for those he wishes to protect. Hildegard is an orphan raised by an abusive aunt, who wishes to one day become a singer and actress. But the more she learns about her parents, the more of a target she becomes. But when things get tough, she will do what she can to stand up for herself. Cadence is an incredibly intelligent, yet shy, young woman who has ideas to advance humanity’s understanding of science, all the while a stranger to true affection. And yet, beyond going through school, they encounter more than what most people know. Secrets, such as an underground nation comprised of Neo Nazis, the mysterious society of the Knights of the Peace Equation, the experimental city of Mega, among the fate of the race of Elfs, among other mythological creatures. About the Author About the time he reached middle school, G.B. Chavez began thinking of ideas for a television series he’d wish to someday create. By the time he graduated high school in 2019, he had begun to reinvent the story upon realizing how much of a challenge it would be, but still wished to get a version of the story out. In March of 2021, Chavez began to write Heromaker: A British Story Written By An American, which he plans to eventually be the first installment of an extensive series of books surrounding the main protagonist(s). Chavez has always had a fascination with culture affiliated with the United Kingdom, which has stemmed from watching Peter Pan as a child. This fascination is not only what inspired for this story to take place in the United Kingdom, but has him wishing to one day travel to the European nation.
