This brief focuses on introducing a novel mathematical framework, referred as hypergraph theory, to model and solve the multiple interferer scenarios for future wireless communication networks. First, in Chap. 1, the authors introduce the basic preliminaries of hypergraph theory in general, and develop two hypergraph based polynomial algorithms, i.e., hypergraph coloring and hypergraph clustering. Then, in Chaps. 2 and 3, the authors present two emerging applications of hypergraph coloring and hypergraph clustering in Device-to-Device (D2D) underlay communication networks, respectively, in order to show the advantages of hypergraph theory compared with the traditional graph theory. Finally, in Chap. 4, the authors discuss the limitations of using hypergraph theory in future wireless networks and briefly present some other potential applications. This brief introduces the state-of-the-art research on the hypergraph theory and its applications in wireless communications. An efficient framework is provided for the researchers, professionals and advanced level students who are interested in the radio resource allocation in the heterogeneous networks to solve the resource allocation and interference management problems.

Green communication has emerged as one of the most important research topics for radio systems. This leads us to develop an energy-efficient mechanism which adjusts transmission power according to the traffic load and reduces the energy per bit usage. For the vision of Europe 2020 as a smart, sustainable and inclusive economy to become reality, the EU have set forth the 20:20:20 targets by which greenhouse gas emissions and energy reduction of primary use should be reduced by 20% while 20% of energy consumption should come from renewable resources. In fact, in today's energy-conscious society, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) accounts for 2% of the global CO2 emissions. A medium-sized cellular network uses as much energy as 170,000 homes, while the cost of powering the existing BSs accounts for a staggering 50% of a service provider's overall expenses. Therefore, new solutions are required whereby operators can accommodate additional traffic volume whilst reducing their investment in new infrastructure and beyond that significantly reduces their energy bill. Moreover, the EU political agenda, in unison with expected growth in mobile data, has identified cost and energy per bit reduction as a stringent design requirement for mobile networks of the future. Green Communication for 4G Wireless Systems mainly covers energy efficient techniques in physical, MAC and network layers. Cross-layer energy efficiency optimization in time and frequency has been also discussed with two fundamental tradeoffs, energy efficiency and spectral efficiency. This technical introduction to Green Communication in 4G wireless systems, explaining the rather complex standards (3GPP Releases R10 and R11), is a must-read for engineers, decision-makers and students interested in Green Communication, as well as other researchers and scientists from this evolving field.

Submodular Rate Region Models For Multicast Communication In Wireless Networks written by Maximilian Riemensberger and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-08-29 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This book proposes representations of multicast rate regions in wireless networks based on the mathematical concept of submodular functions, e.g., the submodular cut model and the polymatroid broadcast model. These models subsume and generalize the graph and hypergraph models. The submodular structure facilitates a dual decomposition approach to network utility maximization problems, which exploits the greedy algorithm for linear programming on submodular polyhedra. This approach yields computationally efficient characterizations of inner and outer bounds on the multicast capacity regions for various classes of wireless networks.

Decision Making Based On Valued Fuzzy Superhypergraphs written by Mohammad Hamidi and has been published by Infinite Study this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-01-01 with Mathematics categories.

This paper explores the defects in fuzzy (hyper) graphs (as complex (hyper) networks) and extends the fuzzy (hyper) graphs to fuzzy (quasi) superhypergraphs as a new concept. We have modeled the fuzzy superhypergraphs as complex superhypernetworks in order to make a relation between labeled objects in the form of details and generalities. Indeed, the structure of fuzzy (quasi) superhypergraphs collects groups of labeled objects and analyzes them in the form of the part to part of objects, the part of objects to the whole group of objects, and the whole to the whole group of objects at the same time. We have investigated the properties of fuzzy (quasi) superhypergraphs based on any positive real number as valued fuzzy (quasi) superhypergraphs, considering the complement of valued fuzzy (quasi) superhypergraphs, the notation of isomorphism of valued fuzzy (quasi) superhypergraphs based on the permutations, and we have presented the isomorphic conditions of (self complemented) valued fuzzy (quasi) superhypergraphs. The concept of impact membership value of fuzzy (quasi) superhypergraphs is introduced in this study and it is applied in designing the real problem in the real world. Finally, the problem of business superhypernetworks is presented as an application of fuzzy valued quasi superhypergraphs in the real world.
