You’ve Never Seen What You’ve Always Needed to Know – Until Now Invisible forces are at work. They push and shove on everything you buy or sell. They affect every concept you want to take to market, all the suppliers you’ll deal with, and every customer you’ll ever see. To be successful, you need to understand them. See them in detail in ways not possible with other methods. Hypernomics: Using Hidden Dimensions to Solve Unseen Problems discovers that markets behave according to previously unknown laws set by the buyers and sellers within them. It reveals those rules and how to detect, describe, and deploy them to your advantage. It doesn’t change economics so much as reveal it. It’s like a microscope looking at pond water, a telescope tilted to the sky, sonar scanning the bottom of the ocean. Hypernomics lets you see into markets in ways you can’t with the unaided eye. Sailors never navigate without a map. You shouldn’t either, since your ship could wind up on the rocks. Hypernomics gives you the means to create market maps that show you where they have openings and how to fill them by giving customers what they want, don’t have, and can afford. It finds their thresholds and limits and responses to every possible feature in any product you can offer. The interactions Hypernomics describes have been with us since the dawn of humanity. Now you can finally see them and enjoy the advantages your competitors do not have. Validated by 13 published papers, multiple awards, a patent, and customers such as NASA, Lockheed Martin, Virgin Galactic, and a restaurant down the street, only Hypernomics gives you the ability to solve problems as varied as How could a restaurant increase revenue by 25% by rearranging seating? How do you find, describe, and capitalize on open spaces in your market? What happens when an NFL player decreases his forty-yard dash time by a quarter of a second? If you tried to exceed a market’s limitations, how could you lose $1B? How do markets change over time? Know what you need to. Discover Hypernomics.

An Experiential Approach To Psychopathology written by Giovanni Stanghellini and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-08-09 with Medical categories.

This book introduces the reader to a clear and consistent method for in-depth exploration of subjective psychopathological experiences with the aim of helping to restore the ability within psychiatry and clinical psychology to draw qualitative distinctions between mental symptoms that are only apparently similar, thereby promoting a more precise characterization of experiential phenotypes. A wide range of mental disorders are considered in the book, each portrayed by a distinguished clinician. Each chapter begins with the description of a paradigmatic case study in order to introduce the reader directly to the patient’s lived world. The first-person perspective of the patient is the principal focus of attention. The essential, defining features of each psychopathological phenomenon and the meaning that the patient attaches to it are carefully analyzed in order to “make sense” of the patient’s apparently nonsensical experiences. In the second part of each chapter, the case study is discussed within the context of relevant literature and a detailed picture of the state of the art concerning the psychopathological understanding of the phenomenon at issue is provided. An Experiential Approach to Psychopathology, and the method it proposes, may be considered the result of convergence of classic phenomenological psychopathological concepts and updated clinical insights into patients’ lived experiences. It endorses three key principles: subjective phenomena are the quintessential feature of mental disorders; their qualitative study is mandatory; phenomenology has developed a rigorous method to grasp “what it is like” to be a person experiencing psychopathological phenomena. While the book is highly relevant for expert clinical phenomenologists, it is written in a way that will be readily understandable for trainees and young clinicians.

Exploring The Self written by Dan Zahavi and has been published by John Benjamins Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2000-01-01 with Psychology categories.

The aim of this volume is to discuss recent research into self-experience and its disorders, and to contribute to a better integration of the different empirical and conceptual perspectives. Among the topics discussed are questions like 'What is a self?, ' 'What is the relation between the self-givenness of consciousness and the givenness of the conscious self?', 'How should we understand the self-disorders encountered in schizophrenia?' and 'What general insights into the nature of the self can pathological phenomena provide us with?' Most of the contributions are characterized by a distinct phenomenological approach. The chapters by Butterworth, Strawson, Zahavi, and Marbach are general in nature and address different psychological and philosophical aspects of what it means to be a self. Next Eilan, Parnas, and Sass turn to schizophrenia and ask both how we should approach and understand this disorder, and, more specifically, what we can learn about the nature of selfhood and existence from psychopathology. The chapters by Blakemore and Gallagher present a defense and a criticism of the so-called model of self-monitoring, respectively. The final three chapters by Cutting, Stanghellini, Schwartz and Wiggins represent anthropologically oriented attempts to situate pathologies of self-experience.(Series B)

Elements And Relations written by Martin Zwick and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-08-04 with Science categories.

This book develops the core proposition that systems theory is an attempt to construct an “exact and scientific metaphysics,” a system of general ideas central to science that can be expressed mathematically. Collectively, these ideas would constitute a nonreductionist “theory of everything” unlike what is being sought in physics. Inherently transdisciplinary, systems theory offers ideas and methods that are relevant to all of the sciences and also to professional fields such as systems engineering, public policy, business, and social work. To demonstrate the generality and importance of the systems project, the book structures its content in three parts: Essay, Notes, and Commentary. The Essay section is a short distillation of systems ideas that illuminate the problems that many types of systems face. Commentary explains systems thinking, its value, and its relation to mainstream scientific knowledge. It shows how systems ideas revise our understanding of science and how they impact our views on religion, politics, and history. Finally, Notes contains all the mathematics in the book, as well as scientific, philosophical, and poetic content that is accessible to readers without a strong mathematical background. Elements and Relations is intended for researchers and students in the systems (complexity) field as well as related fields of social science modeling, systems biology and ecology, and cognitive science. It can be used as a textbook in systems courses at the undergraduate or graduate level and for STEM education. As much of the book does not require a background in mathematics, it is also suitable for general readers in the natural and social sciences as well as in the humanities, especially philosophy.

Neuropsychodynamic Psychiatry written by Heinz Boeker and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-10-11 with Medical categories.

This book presents a comprehensive neuropsychodynamic strategy for treating psychiatric disorders. Rather than pursuing an exclusively biological, psychological, or psychodynamic approach, it offers a methodology that links all three aspects in a unifying, integrative model. Central to this approach is the view of the brain as a bio-psychosocial organ in a neuro-ecological model, rather than the purely neuronal model often presupposed in current neuroscience and psychiatry. Moreover, the book views psychopathological symptoms as spatiotemporal disorders of the altered spatiotemporal structure spanning the brain and its surrounding world. The relation between one of the core symptoms and altered neuronal activity calls for the development of integrated, circular neuropsychodynamic models of psychopathological symptoms in severe psychiatric disorders and their treatment.

The Existential Structure Of Substance Misuse written by Guilherme Messas and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-02-01 with Medical categories.

This book contributes to one of the most challenging areas of mental health: substance misuse. Its focus is on the psychopathological experiences associated with it: both the consequences of substance misuse and the existential vulnerabilities that lead to it, even if such a clear-cut distinction is rarely possible. The work brings an innovative perspective to the issue, as it draws on two scientific fields whose association has not yet been fully explored: phenomenological psychopathology and substance misuse studies. The association of these two perspectives could build a greater understanding of this important topic and be of practical help to a wide array of professionals in their clinical practice. The structure of the book is inspired by this overall perspective. Its division into three parts is designed to introduce the reader, in a stepwise manner, to the complexities of the theme, based on the latest advances in the specific literature. The broad objective of this work is therefore to offer a useful instrument for mental health clinicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, undergraduate students of these disciplines, and all substance abuse workers.
