Continuum Theory written by Alejandro Illanes and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-07-26 with Mathematics categories.
This graduate textbook provides a natural and structured introduction to Continuum Theory, guiding readers from fundamental concepts to advanced topics. It covers classical results such as locally connected continua, indecomposable continua, arcs, circles, finite graphs, dendroids, and the relationship between the Cantor set and continua. The second half explores the theory of hyperspaces, presenting various models, their properties, and key theorems, while also highlighting elegant and lesser-known mathematical results. Designed for readers with an understanding of basic topology, this book serves as a valuable resource for PhD students and researchers in mathematics. It offers a rigorous and thorough approach, with detailed proofs that clarify complex arguments—especially regarding the intricate properties of the pseudo-arc. A wealth of exercises helps reinforce understanding and develop problem-solving skills. This book stands out for its depth and breadth, covering a range of topics. It provides a comprehensive study of hyperspace models, the homogeneity of the Hilbert cube, and the pseudo-arc, offering one of the few accessible and complete proofs of its unique properties. With its structured progression and careful exposition, this book is a valuable reference for anyone interested in continuum theory.

Mathematical Foundations Of Programming Language Semantics written by Michael Main and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1988-03-09 with Mathematics categories.
This volume is the proceedings of the 3rd Workshop on the Mathematical Foundations of Programming Language Semantics held at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, April 8-10, 1987. The 1st Workshop was at Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas in April, 1985 (see LNCS 239), and the 2nd Workshop with a limited number of participants was at Kansas State in April, 1986. It was the intention of the organizers that the 3rd Workshop survey as many areas of the Mathematical Foundations of Programming Language Semantics as reasonably possible. The Workshop attracted 49 submitted papers, from which 28 papers were chosen for presentation. The papers ranged in subject from category theory and Lambda-calculus to the structure theory of domains and power domains, to implementation issues surrounding semantics.

Aspect Oriented Database Systems written by Awais Rashid and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-03-14 with Computers categories.
Recently, a set of new software development techniques – termed Aspect-Oriented Software Development (AOSD) – has become available that aims to support modularisation of systemic properties (also referred to as crosscutting-concerns) and their subsequent composition with other parts of the system. Rashid focuses on the use of Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) techniques to modularise otherwise broadly scoped features in database systems like the transaction or the versioning model to improve their customisability, extensibility, and maintainability. His aim is to show how the use of AOP can transform the way we develop, use and maintain database systems. He also discusses how database systems can support AOP by providing means for storage and retrieval of aspects. Aspect-Oriented Databases Systems shows the possible synergy between AOSD and database systems and is of particular interest for researchers, graduate students and software developers in database systems and applications.

Specialized as it might be, continuum theory is one of the most intriguing areas in mathematics. However, despite being popular journal fare, few books have thoroughly explored this interesting aspect of topology. In Topics on Continua, Sergio Macias, one of the field's leading scholars, presents four of his favorite continuum topics: inv

Improvisation Hypermedia And The Arts Since 1945 written by Roger Dean and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-11-05 with Performing Arts categories.
First Published in 1997. The authors’ purpose in this book is to dissect developments in improvisation in the arts since 1945, with a particular emphasis on process and technique. The approach is analytical and theoretical but is also relevant to practitioners and their audience. Their key argument is that improvisation has been of great importance and value in the contemporary arts, particularly because of its potential to develop new forms (often by breaking definitions).
