This book, "Frevent And Effective Prayers For Every Day In The Week, From Sunday To Saturday," was inspired by the Holy Spirit to transform and renew lives, change attitudes, redirect wrong motives, empower believers to develop blameless and guiltless consciences and wholesome and effective spiritual life styles, through a serious and sincere daily examination of the bleievers conscience, attitudes, motives and lifestyles. This model is based on Psalm 139:23&24, where David prays:"Search me O God and know my thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends You, and lead me along the path of everlasting life." (NLT). It is a book that will help us not to live to ourselves, nor pursue our own desires, nor to please ourselves to the detrement of others, but to live to the will and pleasure of God. It is a book that will help us "be crucified unto the world and the world curcified unto to us," be resurrected with Christ to reign and rule with Him, seated at the Right Hand of God in Heaven. It is a book that will help us all believers who use it daily experience the truth: "Christ is in you, the hope of glory" (Gal.2:19&20; 6:14&15 Col. 1:27) I believe it is a book meant for the times in which we live. A time of turbalence, violence, frustration, dispair and hopelessness, for both the young and the old. The person who prays these prayers daily and consistently will experience calmness in the face of fear, empowerment and victory over the problems of this world.

I Believe In God Praying The Apostles Creed written by Katherine Johnson and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-01-10 with Religion categories.

The Apostles' Creed is considered to be a faithful summary of the Christian faith. Our current creed comes from an ancient Roman Creed that dates from around 150 A.D. Philip Schaff, 19th century Protestant theologian and church historian said,"As the Lord's Prayer is the Prayer of prayers, the Decalogue the Law of laws, so the Apostles' Creed is the Creed of creeds. It contains all the fundamental articles of the Christian faith necessary to salvation, in the form of fact, in simple Scripture language, and in the most natural order-the order of revelation-from God and the creation down to the resurrection and life everlasting." The Creed was first developed both to refute heresy and to provide a statement of faith used to instruct converts to Christianity. Christians in the early centuries were required to learn the Creed from memory. It served them as a daily prayer not to forget the commitment they had undertaken in baptism. The Creed was also used for public worship, and its repetition insured that each generation would learn the basic teachings of the faith. In this statement from Augustine, we can see how important the Creed was to the early growth of the Church in its early centuries: "The symbol of the holy mystery that you have all received together and that today you have recited one by one, are the words on which the faith of [the] Church is firmly built above the stable foundation that is Christ the Lord. You have received it and recited it, but in your minds and hearts you must keep it ever present, you must repeat it in your beds, recall it in the public squares and not forget it during meals: even when your body is asleep, you must watch over it with your hearts." This prayer guide is designed to be used for personal prayer in conjunction with praying through the Apostles' Creed using the Scripture passages that are presented for each section of the Creed. It encourages anyone who desires to go deeper in prayer to take each of the included verses and reflect on them using the Scripture-based reflective prayer model. A brief description of this type of prayer is followed by a journal-style guide which gives the reader opportunity to pray with the carefully chosen short Scripture verses. Reflecting on Scripture in this way can provide us with a powerful way to experience God's presence and love in our hearts and to encounter the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

Praying When Prayer Doesn T Work written by Jack Corbin Getz and has been published by iUniverse this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-07-07 with Religion categories.

Almost everyone has an opinion about what prayer is and how it ought to work. But for many, prayer produces far less than the saints say it should. While some surveys suggest that up to 90 percent of us believe in prayer enough to do it daily, that lofty statistic is tempered by the sobering claim that average believers only pray for eight to twelve minutes a week. If that's not a red warning flag that prayer has a serious public relations problem, what is? Praying When Prayer Doesn’t Work is a thoughtful— often witty—account of the author's journey to find prayer’s elusive promise for himself. A pastor for thirty years, Jack uses humor, plenty of secondary resources, scripture, real-life stories, and his own unique insights to illustrate how both routine and exceptional circumstances may be used to trigger meaningful, ongoing, and productive prayer. While challenging harmful assumptions (dogma) with unconventional observations, Getz also looks at prayer's four public relations problems, identifies the perfect environment for prayer, and examines the three critical attitudes necessary to pray with great effect. Also, the wisdom and helpful suggestions found in the useful study guide can teach sincere seeker's of the truth how to get personal with God and make praying a choice, not a chore.
