(Unillustrated)"Trainer Training: 100 Tips for the Professional Horse Trainer" primarily concerns itself with the BUSINESS of being a horse trainer with sections on marketing, finances, client-relations & the conducting of special events. This is NOT a horse training book for the non-professional. I urge you to view the Table of Contents via Amazon's "See Inside" function to judge whether this book is right for you. "Trainer Training" offers one hundred situations a working horse trainer might face (be they just starting out or a seasoned veteran of the trade). Written specifically for those who have chosen horse training as a career, this is a compilation of one hundred "things I've learned" throughout my over thirty years with horses, sixteen plus of them as a pro in the equine industry. Some are listed quickly, some are placed in greater detail. (For each entry, to paraphrase Mozart, I used "only as many notes" as necessary and point the reader toward further resources when the subject matter threatens to creep beyond the scope of this book.) This is not meant to outline "the only way" to do things or to look at things - it's simply one hundred profitable and quick pieces of advice I'd offer a compatriot were I asked. Every horse trainer reading this could easily make their own list - and, given our myriad experiences on the job, our disparate backgrounds, I doubt we'd overlap all that much. And, there, it's that "lack of overlap" that gives this book both its perspective and value. My background (beyond "horses") is in marketing strategy, promotion, writing, and as a long-time computer geek. Hence, the tips contained herein focus - to a great extent - on those segments of our business (including mistakes to avoid). Note also that a great deal of the info also circles around special events (clinics, symposiums, talks, etc.) that a pro might offer - in large part, because this is where so darned many weird things can happen (and where much money can be made).

Written by one of the original Horse Whisperers Horses Don't Lie is the definitive guide to training horses and every horse trainer will welcome this method. After years of using his method to train horses Chris came to see that it could also be applied to human behaviour. As Chris points out: "A horse knows what you know." The characteristics necessary for building good relationships with horses can be used to deepen our relationships with other people and to enrich our daily lives. Horses can teach us how to communicate with empathy and patience, not only with them but with each other. Humans, like dogs, are natural predators while horses are prey that evolved to band together in packs for protection. This results in two differing types of consciousness and for a human to think like prey teaches many things. It teaches the trust and honesty essential in building relationships, and not only in a relationship with a horse; while the sensitivity and awareness that characterises a horse's perception of the world are qualities we could all use in our own lives. "Always think like a horse and not like a dog." The real magic of horse whispering is what horses reveal to us about ourselves when we strive to understand their behaviour. Horses Don't Lie will teach you about the connections we can make in our lives when we learn from horses.

Gallop To Freedom written by Frederic Pignon and has been published by Trafalgar Square Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-09-24 with Sports & Recreation categories.

When Cavalia—the amazing equestrian-themed "spectacular," melding costumes and theatrics with stunt riding and haute école—first took North America by storm, few people knew who Frédéric Pignon and Magali Delgado were. But the whole world was soon abuzz with talk of the magical display these two remarkable individuals provided their audience—whether horse-crazy or layperson, none could walk away unaffected by the powerful connection they demonstrated with their unparalleled cast of beautiful horses. In this remarkable book, now available in paperback, Frédéric—a specialist in liberty and ground work—and Magali—a talented dressage rider at the Grand Prix level—combine efforts and share the secrets of the breathtaking relationships they have cultivated over the course of their lives with horses. They tell the story of Templado—the gorgeous but rebellious stallion who demanded they question all they had learned as horsemen and look at, in a whole new light, what it means to train horses. It was this tempestuous character that taught them that the process of building a relationship with a horse can be on more equal footing than most would dream possible. It is with this life-altering lesson in mind that Frédéric and Magali now explain their Six Golden Principles. These include how you can become a "safe haven"—the most important being in your horse's life—while ensuring he gets the leadership he craves and deserves. And, how to establish acceptable limits of behavior, as well as respect, without ever succumbing to anger or using force. They describe how to read horse behavior so you can better understand and communicate with your equine partner as an "individual." Plus, you'll see what it means to be patient and "give your horse a say" in his own training—and just how rewarding the results can be. In a chapter devoted to their practical approach, you'll explore what is perhaps most central to their methods: the idea of "play" and how games can be used to develop a horse's intelligence, confidence, and desire to perform, whether at liberty or in the most difficult of competitive environments. Magali shares the example of her Grand Prix mount Dao, with whom she has reached the pinnacle of European competition, and whom dressage judges praise for his supple and stress-free performances. Both Frédéric and Magali once thought they had become skilled and compassionate riders and trainers, but found that the monumental challenges presented by Templado turned their beliefs upside down and made them start again from the beginning. They now view their work with horses as a journey of endless discovery and infinite rewards. With this book, full of phenomenal color photographs of their horses, many of whom appeared in the show that first made them famous, you can join—and learn from—them.

Horse trainer is a horse which was given the ability to influence people. To influence the way people think and live. Agata Wiatrowska has been conducting development programmes with horses for years. In this space horses reveal their long-known abilities: their extraordinary sensitivity to communication and the slightest changes in approach, ability to forgive, to balance energy or contact. Agata Wiatrowska introduced this method to Polish public in 2006 and since then she continues to discover secrets of mentors based all around the world: Karin and Gerhard Krebs from Germany, David Harris from United Kingdom, June Guenter from USA, Jackie and Herb Stevennson from USA, Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling from Denmark. She directed programmes in tens of different places in Poland as well as around the world with help of hundreds of horses. She co-creates European Association of Horse Assisted Education and the HorseDream chain. . During first years of work, her programmes would go through constant transformations related to understanding her own thoughts but also related to understanding the exact role of horses in development. This book is a collection of her experiences. "In first chapters I introduce readers to the role of horses and what does being a horse trainer exactly mean. Next chapters take the reader on a journey of seeking the contact with yourself through contact with a horse and describe lessons from horse-trainers experienced by previous participants. The last part describes the role of a facilitator who creates development space for people in which horses are trainers. And some words from my friend about the book: "Like Agata, I am a seasoned consultant and Equine Assisted Education practitioner. And I can be hard to impress. Upon first meeting Agata, I found her combination of humility, power and passion intoxicating. She cares deeply about her clients, her horses and her 'cause'-working tirelessly to help people remove their masks, find the courage to face their own truths, and show up with integrity. In reading through the chapters of "Horse as Trainer," I felt the depth of her knowledge and experience so keenly that it led me to question my own approach to working with horses. The examples she shares so vividly make crystal clear her key points. The research she has done to validate the work is thorough, and the results are inarguable. There are many people out there who go through the motions of conducting horse assisted education sessions, but few are able to attain her level of expertise. Anyone engaged in this work should make it their business to read this book, and if the opportunity arises, meet her face to face! Nikki L. Life Lessons From A Ranch Horse written by Mark Rashid and has been published by Skyhorse this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-04-07 with Pets categories.

Learn the underlying principles of speaking both “horse” and “human” from an internationally acclaimed horseman. Life Lessons from a Ranch Horse describes celebrated horse trainer Mark Rashid’s experiences with one special—and especially challenging—horse named Buck. Mark finds that Buck’s unique personality teaches him a wealth of information about how to build a strong relationship with what may initially seem like a difficult horse. During his time with Buck, Mark not only trains Buck but also observes how Buck “trains” other horses in order to maintain a stable and respectful group. Mark comes to understand that there are six underlying principles to both Buck and Mark’s most successful horse training techniques: non-confrontation, planning ahead, patience, persistence, consistency, and “fix it and move on.” The second half of the book is devoted to demonstrating how horse owners can apply the six principles to their own experiences in horse training. Mark Rashid is unique among writers of horse training books for his skill at teaching trainers to lead by example rather than by force, using clear and consistent methods. In the afterword, Mark Rashid reflects on what he has learned since first writing about Buck, and how Buck’s life allowed Mark to dramatically improve his own emotional and physical well-being. Life Lessons from a Ranch Horse is essential reading for all compassionate horse owners who care about cultivating a mutually respectful and satisfying relationship with their horses.
