Il presente volume dà conto di musei pubblici e privati e istituzioni assimilabili; fondazioni; strutture espositive permanenti e aperte al pubblico che si avvalgono anche di finanziamenti pubblici. rilevati, selezionati e schedati secondo criteri e metodi, che pur nelle non irrilevanti differenze, sono riconducibili all'approccio ed alla logica unitari che hanno guidato la ricerca. L'edizione 2012 è uno strumento che vuole dunque essere innovativo, non un mero aggiornamento di quanto pubblicato nel 2003, e parte dal presupposto che, soprattutto negli ultimi anni, il settore del contemporaneo in Italia sta assumendo un sempre crescente rilievo, accanto a realtà già consolidate da tempo e presenti sul territorio italiano. In questo senso le politiche della Direzione Generale per il paesaggio, le belle arti, l'architettura e l'arte contemporanee, attivate anche attraverso il Piano per l'arte contemporanea, sono indirizzate ad una conoscenza più approfondita e alla piena comprensione del posto che esse occupano nella società di oggi e al ruolo che svolgono nella formazione dell'identità culturale del nostro paese; ruolo che trova un suo fondamentale compimento nel rapporto dialettico che l'architettura, ma anche l'arte, ha con il contesto storico, ambientale e paesaggistico. “The Places of Contemporary Art – 2012” is a useful tool for visitors and contemporary art enthusiasts; it provides a comprehensive list of contemporary art centres in Italy, indicates new fields of specialised research, and presents potentially new itineraries of contemporary art venues. This book provides information about public and private museums and similar institutions; foundations; publicly financed permanent exhibition venues open to the public surveyed, selected and classified according to criteria and methods which, although different, are all based on the approach and unitary logic adopted by the study. The 2012 edition is an innovative tool and not merely an updated version of the previous edition published in 2003. Its premise is based on the increasingly important role played by contemporary art in Italy in recent years together with the already consolidated reality of Italian heritage. The policies of the Directorate General for the landscape, fine arts, architecture and contemporary art implemented in the Plan for contemporary art are intended to provide more in-depth and comprehensive information regarding their status in modern society and the role they play in creating Italy's cultural identity, a role expressed to the full in the dialectic relationship between architecture – as well as art – and the country's historical, environmental and landscape heritage.

This book is a collection of research focusing on the anthropological aspects of how food is made in modern society from both global and local perspectives. Modern food consumed in any society is created in a variety of natural and cultural environments. There is a "food democracy" in which how we procure and share food can be an indicator of our participation in society, while food nurtured in particular climates and land can be transmitted to the outside world owing to the influence of tourism and the global economy, a phenomenon that is recognized on a global scale as exemplified by the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. In other words, food is an aspect of both culture and civilization. Anthropological approaches are used to reveal the humanistic aspects of food, highlighting the strength and individuality of regional and ethnic foods in global civilizations. The book is a compilation of results from sessions of the international symposium “Making Food in Human and Natural History”, which took place on March 18 and 19, 2019, in Osaka, Japan.

La question des villages et quartiers à risque d’abandon est une problématique aujourd’hui commune à des nombreuses régions de la Méditerranée, et est considérée comme un point stratégique dans les nouvelles politiques européennes. La dégradation progressive des zones intérieures est une constante dans les pays caractérisés par le sous-développement économique, favorisant phénomènes d’émigration et de fragmentation du patrimoine culturel. Il volume affronta il tema rilevante della finanza della cultura: finanziamento, spesa ed agevolazioni tributarie, in un contesto teorico, oltre che nell’esame della realtà italiane e europea. Vengono, pertanto, analizzate le fonti di finanziamento delle attività culturali sia da parte del settore pubblico che del settore privato con un’attenzione specifica al no profit. Alcuni dati riguardano l’evoluzione in Italia. Sempre per l’Italia importa esaminare i flussi finanziari pubblici nel settore della cultura a livello regionale. Nonostante un interesse proclamato, si rileva che in presenza di un patrimonio artistico rilevante, la spesa per la attività culturali, in percentuale del PIL, è tra le più basse dei Paesi europei. Significativo il lavoro nel quale, sulla base di una indagine sulle elargizioni volontarie alla cultura in Italia e sull’analisi degli incentivi tributari per i contribuenti Irpef, si giunge alla conclusione dell’inconsistenza quantitativa delle donazioni. Importanti le riflessioni sul significato del dono. Il tema delle sponsorizzazioni culturali viene esaminato da un punto di vista giuridico. Interessante l’analisi di due casi noti quali le sponsorizzazioni aziendali del Colosseo e degli scavi archeologici di Ercolano. Il partenariato tra imprese e pubbliche amministrazioni, nonostante alcune carenze, costituisce uno strumento idoneo alla valorizzazione culturale. Il settore del contemporaneo rappresenta un campo di interesse specifico che richiede una promozione particolare. Il Piano per l’arte contemporanea del Ministero per i beni e le attività culturali e il turismo vuole incentivare la conoscenza di questo ambito artistico, le esposizioni mirate e le acquisizioni. Le risorse del Piano sono state utilizzate in prevalenza per la realizzazione del Museo MAXXI di Roma. Il finanziamento delle attività culturali viene visto nei legami tra sfera giuridico-politica, economica e culturale. Per la loro frequente impossibilità a stare sul mercato, tenuto conto delle loro caratteristiche strutturali, le attività culturali hanno bisogno di finanziamenti esterni, pubblici e privati. L’ultima parte del volume si occupa di temi di natura europea. Si tratta dell’esame della politica culturale dell’Unione europea attraverso i Fondi strutturali e i programmi specifici quali Europa creativa che ha rivisto gli strumenti precedenti. Viene esaminato anche l’utilizzo dei fondi europei per la cultura in Italia per i programmi a gestione indiretta in alcune Regioni significative: Lazio, Sicilia e Toscana. Nelle prime due Regioni si rilevano lacune in termini di efficienza. Per i finanziamenti a gestione diretta la situazione è certamente migliore. Attente e approfondite sono le analisi sulla finanza della cultura in Gran Bretagna e Francia, Paesi che presentano caratteristiche specifiche ed originali.
