The 2nd International Conference of Business, Accounting, and Economics (ICBAE) 2020 continued the agenda to bring together researcher, academics, experts and professionals in examining selected theme by applying multidisciplinary approaches. This conference is the second intentional conference held by Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and it is a bi-annual agenda of this faculty. In 2020, this event will be held in 5-6 August at Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The theme of the 2nd ICBAE UMP 2020 is “Economics Strength, Entrepreneurship, and Hospitality for Infinite Creativity Towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. It is expected that this event may offer contribution for both academics and practitioners to conduct researches related with Business, Accounting, and Economics Related Studies. Each contributed paper was refereed before being accepted for publication. The double-blind peer reviewed was used in the paper selection.

This open-access book is an exceptional contribution to the burgeoning fields of higher education development and higher education internationalization as it empirically examines the impact of the study abroad experiences of faculty members on individual and institutional development. The research and its outcomes presented here utilize results from a large-scale survey and interviews of faculty at ten leading universities in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia. The analyses show that the study abroad experiences of faculty members impact not only improvements in research quality and development of educational programs but also serve as the foundation for international activities at the university, crucially important in today’s higher education landscape. On the other hand, the research reveals the rapid development of higher education at the local and regional levels including the development of graduate programs for faculty training in the home country leading to increasing rates of study abroad within Southeast Asia. Through the analyses presented, this book offers a new understanding of higher education development and internationalization in Southeast Asia by examining the impact of study abroad on the academic profession, higher education institutions and the higher education sector.

Tujuan dari penerbitan buku ini adalah memasyarakatkan crowdfunding untuk mendanai UKM bagi kesejahteraan nagara dan bangsa yang lebih baik. Buku ini berangkat dari penelitian yang didanai Kemenristek/BRIN melalui skema Penelitian Dasar Hibah Kompetitif Nasional untuk tahun pendanaan 2019 dan 2020. Hasil riset menyebutkan bahwa UKM yang berhasil mendapat pendanaan dari perbankan berkisar antara 5% sampai 15% dari proposal kredit yang diajukan. Apalagi bisnis start-up yang baru memulai bisnis sangat sulit mendapatkan pendanaan perbankan. Terdapat 4 jenis crowdfunding yaitu yang berbasis donasi, hadiah, pinjaman, dan berbasis ekuitas. Ke 4 jenis crowdfunding tersebut semuanya menggunakan internet sebagai media operasionalnya baik pada saat kampanye pemikatan dana oleh entitas baik individual dan bisnis berbadan usaha maupun saat pelaporan penggunaan dana crowdfunding ke pemilik dana melalui lembaga penyedia urun dana (crowdfunding platform). Di Indonesia kegiatan semacam pendanaan rame-rame tersebut biasa dinamai pendanaan gotong royong atau patungan. OJK menamai sebagai “urun dana” melalui POJK No. 37/POJK.04/2018 yang dikeluarkan pada 31 Desember 2018. Hasil penelitian tersebut menemukan bukti bahwa keberhasilan implementasi crowdfunding tergantung pada factor-faktor: persepsi masyarakat terhadap crowdfunding, norma sosial, regulasi, kewirausahaan & teknologi, serta pasar modal. Dalam buku ini juga melaporkan hasil penelitian tentang kesiapan bank di Jawa timur dalam mengimplementasikan crowdfunding. Terbukti bahwa Indonesia sudah cukup siap dalam mengimplementasikan crowdfunding meskipun masih perlu upaya keras khususnya dari OJK dalam memasyarakatkan crowdfunding sehingga persepsi masyarakat menjadi lebih positif dalam memandang crowdfunding sebagai system yang mampu mensejahterakan melalui mekanisme keuangan yang lebih bersifat inklusi.
