This timely professional development guide reveals what it takes to recruit—and retain—quality talent by providing smart hiring techniques for interviewing, assessing, and screening applicants. One of the most important jobs of any manager is hiring the right people. Even in organizations with a human resources department, the final hiring decision often falls on a manager who has never been trained in effectively assessing a candidate's character or skill set. Additionally, the interview process itself is fraught with legal pitfalls, making this seemingly simple task one that could become costly and problematic if mishandled. This book teaches the critical techniques for selecting the right person for the job and the strategies that eliminate expensive hiring mistakes. Hire Smart and Keep 'Em: How to Interview Strategically Using POINT lays out a proven method—the POINT process—for recruiting and retaining high quality employees. A renowned business coach, Joan C. Curtis illustrates how interviews can be strategically conducted, demonstrates how illegal interview situations can be avoided, and explains how the latest technology can be implemented to make the whole process go smoothly.

The Dramatic Diplomacy Of Internationals Power Strategy And Conflict In The 21st Century 2020 2025 written by KHRITISH SWARGIARY and has been published by ERA, US this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-05-08 with Education categories.
The past half‑decade has borne witness to an unprecedented reshaping of global diplomacy. From the corridors of Washington and Beijing to the contested straits of the South China Sea, from the digital marketplaces of New Delhi to the energy pipelines feeding Europe, states have leveraged every tool at their disposal—economic, military, technological, and normative—to advance their national interests. When I embarked on this project in early 2024, it was clear that the period 2020–2025 would prove pivotal: shifting alliances, emergent crises, and accelerating technological change have combined to redraw the strategic map. This book—The Dramatic Diplomacy of Internationals: Power, Strategy, and Conflict in the 21st Century (2020–2025)—seeks to provide both a panoramic overview and a finely grained analysis of how the world’s ten most powerful nations have navigated this turbulent era. Drawing on official communiqués, first‑hand interviews with diplomats and defense planners, detailed trade and investment data, and contemporaneous case studies, I have endeavored to chart the evolving strategies of the United States, China, Russia, India, Germany, France, Japan, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. Each chapter balances rigorous data with narrative storytelling—revealing not only what decisions were made, but how and why they emerged from the interplay of domestic politics, regional dynamics, and global imperatives. In Chapter 1, we trace America’s turn from the unilateralism of the late 2010s toward a more adaptive realism—one that marries selective restraint with technological competition and calibrated alliance‑building. Chapter 2 examines China’s ascent in the realm of “techno‑diplomacy,” where infrastructure financing, digital surveillance exports, and wolf‑warrior rhetoric coexist with an ambitious climate agenda. Chapter 3 delves into Russia’s hybrid toolkit: energy coercion, cyber‑proxy warfare, and Arctic militarization, capped by case studies of its advances in Ukraine. Chapter 4 explores the European Union’s struggle for strategic autonomy amidst transatlantic strains, green diplomacy, and migration pressures. Chapter 5 spotlights the ascending roles of India, Brazil, and Turkey—three nations forging new paradigms of digital governance, environmental stewardship, and regional mediation. In Chapter 6, we map the shifting rivalries of the Middle East, from the fleeting Iran–Saudi rapprochement to Jordan’s deft peacemaking in Gaza. Chapter 7 turns to Africa, where the African Union’s campaign for Security Council reform and the Wagner Group’s mercenary ventures underscore the continent’s critical stakes in great‑power competition. The Conclusion synthesizes these threads, arguing that successful diplomacy in our polycrisis age demands a blend of nimble technology adoption, networked partnerships, and at times even contrarian realpolitik. I am deeply grateful to the many researchers, regional specialists, and diplomatic interlocutors who granted their time and insights. My thanks also go to the institutions that provided access to archival materials and field‑level data. Above all, I hope this work serves as a guide for policymakers, scholars, and informed citizens alike—illuminating the dramatic interplay of power and principle that shapes our shared future. — Khritish Swargiary (May 2025)
