Als de tumorresten weer groter zouden worden of zij klachten zou krijgen had Geertje al bedacht wat ze wilde. Hoe er met haar psyche, haar lichaam, haar dieet, haar relaties of levenssituatie moest worden omgegaan om de tumoren in haar buik weer onder controle te krijgen. Toen dat niet genoeg lukte gaf zij de dokters toestemming om via een operatie of - uiteindelijk toch- met chemo-therapie- een handje te helpen.
