Il cruciverba di Sorano di Cristiano Benci. Un vero e proprio cruciverba dedicato alla città di Sorano. Sorano è un comune italiano di 3 139 abitanti della provincia di Grosseto in Toscana. Sorano nacque come antico possedimento della famiglia Aldobrandeschi, ma il territorio comunale era già abitato sin dal periodo etrusco, come dimostrano i notevoli ritrovamenti di insediamenti e necropoli antiche. Dopo il matrimonio tra Anastasia, ultima erede degli Aldobrandeschi, e Romano Orsini nel 1293, il controllo di Sorano passò alla famiglia Orsini. Il centro seguì le vicissitudini storiche e politiche della vicina Pitigliano, dove era situata la residenza dei conti, e gli Orsini si impegnarono a potenziarlo fornendolo di fortificazioni efficaci, che resero Sorano un rifugio sicuro dagli attacchi nemici: più volte infatti, nel corso del XV secolo, i senesi posero la fortezza di Sorano sotto assedio, riuscendo ad occuparla solamente nel 1417. Nel 1556, Sorano passò in mano ai Medici, che la inglobarono nel Granducato di Toscana assieme alla vicina Pitigliano.

Il cruciverba di Semproniano di Cristiano Benci. Un vero e proprio cruciverba dedicato alla città di Semproniano. Semproniano è un comune italiano di 987 abitanti della provincia di Grosseto in Toscana. La tradizione fa risalire l'origine di Semproniano alla romana Gens Sempronia e, nelle vicinanze (zona di Rocchette di Fazio), sono stati ritrovati resti archeologici di una fattoria risalente al periodo etrusco. La documentazione storica risale sicuramente a prima dell'anno mille, quando i borghi di Semproniano e Rocchette appartenevano al feudo della famiglia Aldobrandeschi. Verso la metà del Trecento il paese si sottomise a Siena, rimanendo così nel territorio della Repubblica fino al Cinquecento, epoca in cui venne conquistato temporaneamente dagli Spagnoli prima di entrare definitivamente nel Granducato di Toscana. Seguì un lungo periodo di abbandono e decadenza, tanto che il centro venne successivamente inglobato per un lungo periodo nel Comune di Roccalbegna, fino a divenire autonomo il 29 gennaio 1963.

Castell'Azzara è un comune italiano di 1 369 abitanti e risulta la sede comunale più elevata della provincia di Grosseto in Toscana. Sorto negli anni tra l'XI e il XII secolo, Castell'Azzara è ricordato nel 1216 come appartenente al contado aldobrandesco del ramo di Santa Fiora e fu da sempre nelle mire delle città confinanti di Siena e Orvieto. Nel 1297 divenne territorio della famiglia orvietana dei Baschi, fino a ritornare agli Aldobrandeschi fino al 1439, quando passò alla famiglia Sforza in seguito al matrimonio tra Cecilia Aldobrandeschi e Bosio Sforza. Castell'Azzara seguì da allora il destino della vicina Santa Fiora, finendo poi annesso al Granducato di Toscana nel XVII secolo. Alla fine del XVIII secolo la famiglia Menichetti divenne feudataria degli Sforza, unendosi poi con i Conti Ricci, e mantenendo, come Ricci Menichetti, una presenza importante fino all'inizio del XX secolo. Importante centro minerario tra XIX e XX secolo, è oggi un piccolo borgo poco popolato arroccato sulle pendici orientali del Monte Civitella.
