Si ritiene in genere che la filosofia debba rispondere a domande concernenti il che cosa e il perché. Rocco Ronchi pensa invece che sia non solo più interessante, ma anche filosoficamente più rilevante chiedersi come: come parliamo, ad esempio, oppure come pensiamo, come godiamo, come ricordiamo una parola dimenticata, come ci creiamo un corpo, come facciamo a diventare adulti.Chi si pone le grandi questioni del che cosa e del perché non ha appreso la lezione materialistica e speculativa della più radicale filosofia del Novecento, quella che ha eletto il divenire ad assoluto, che ha smantellato l’idea di una verità trascendente e preordinata al pensiero e che, soprattutto, ha portato a termine la rivoluzione copernicana, scalzando veramente l’uomo e la sua coscienza da ogni presunta centralità. Chi invece rimette al centro la domanda pragmatica sul come fare si ritrova parte di un mondo in divenire finalmente libero dall’uomo come unità di misura ultima, un divenire che non è mancanza, bensì atto puro, vita infinita e una singolare gioia “al di là del principio di piacere”. La nuova domanda da porsi è allora pratica piuttosto che teorica, ed è una domanda critica, nella misura in cui consente di resistere al falso divenire, quello che la nostra epoca, segnata dal più sfrenato capitalismo, ha eletto a principio sovrano di tutte le cose. Come resistere a questo divenire che pone la mancanza nel cuore dell’essere, che genera ovunque miseria, insufficienza, sofferenza, anche (e soprattutto) quando promuove un’immensa ricchezza materiale?Come resistergli senza cadere vittima di nostalgie metafisiche o di fughe mistiche? Ronchi prova a rispondere in sei saggi che cercano di definire modalità di resistenza, a partire dalle tesi di altri autori (da Orwell a Sartre, da Deleuze a Lacan, da Breton a Jünger e Bataille ecc.) ossia, secondo il metodo brechtiano, “pensando nella testa degli altri”.
