Gianni Massetani nasce a Greve in Chianti nel 1958 dove tuttora vive ed opera. In gioventù ha coltivato la passione per gli sport di squadra e individuali. Conseguito il diploma di geometra ne ha fatta la professione per dieci anni fintanto che la sua vita subisce una svolta che lo porta a perseguire la strada della Medicina naturale che lo farà diplomare erborista nel 1992 presso la facoltà di Farmacia di Urbino. Nel paese natale ne intraprende la professione e negli anni a seguire studia prima la Macrobiotica con il maestro Ferro Ledvinka e poi la Cosmopratica della dottoressa Elaine Williams. Dal 2016 è affiancato nella sua professione dalle figlie e questo gli permette di gestire parallelamente l`azienda vinicola di famiglia.
