Il principale intento del lavoro è esplorare la crisi ateniese attraverso i parametri concettuali dell’antropologo Ernesto De Martino, lo sguardo inquieto del regista greco Yorgos Lanthimos (alla cui cinematografia dalle dirompenti valenze antropologiche è interamente dedicato il terzo capitolo), le interviste, gli strumenti della fotografia, la ricostruzione narrativa dell’autobiografia, potente strumento di orientamento nel mondo, catalizzatore delle impressioni dei luoghi. Adottando un “triplice sguardo”, l’autrice tenta di incrociare traiettorie attraverso una “sentita” esplorazione dei quartieri ateniesi e delle isole nei dintorni, avviando nella conclusione una riflessione sul valore politico della “territorialità” umana: “Si tratta di una sopravvivenza non solo fisica ma sociale e culturale, che implica il senso di appartenenza a un luogo che deve divenire fonte di godimento dei propri bisogni”.

The long tradition of Kierkegaard studies has made it impossible for individual scholars to have a complete overview of the vast field of Kierkegaard research. The large and ever increasing number of publications on Kierkegaard in the languages of the world can be simply bewildering even for experienced scholars. The present work constitutes a systematic bibliography which aims to help students and researchers navigate the seemingly endless mass of publications. The volume is divided into two large sections. Part I, which covers Tomes I-V, is dedicated to individual bibliographies organized according to specific language. This includes extensive bibliographies of works on Kierkegaard in some 41 different languages. Part II, which covers Tomes VI-VII, is dedicated to shorter, individual bibliographies organized according to specific figures who are in some way relevant for Kierkegaard. The goal has been to create the most exhaustive bibliography of Kierkegaard literature possible, and thus the bibliography is not limited to any specific time period but instead spans the entire history of Kierkegaard studies.

Although Kierkegaard's reception was initially more or less limited to Scandinavia, it has for a long time now been a highly international affair. As his writings were translated into different languages his reputation spread, and he became read more and more by people increasingly distant from his native Denmark. While in Scandinavia, the attack on the Church in the last years of his life became something of a cause célèbre, later, many different aspects of his work became the object of serious scholarly investigation well beyond the original northern borders. As his reputation grew, he was co-opted by a number of different philosophical and religious movements in different contexts throughout the world. The three tomes of this volume attempt to record the history of this reception according to national and linguistic categories. Tome II covers the reception of Kierkegaard in Southern, Central and Eastern Europe. The first set of articles, under the rubric 'Southern Europe', covers Portugal, Spain and Italy. A number of common features were shared in these countries' reception of Kierkegaard, including a Catholic cultural context and a debt to the French reception. The next rubric covers the rather heterogeneous group of countries designated here as 'Central Europe': Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. These countries are loosely bound in a cultural sense by their former affiliation with the Habsburg Empire and in a religious sense by their shared Catholicism. Finally, the Orthodox countries of 'Eastern Europe' are represented with articles on Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro, Macedonia and Romania.

Il libro intreccia una riflessione filosofica intorno al tema della distruzione nel Dopoguerra tedesco, a partire dall’opera poetica di Paul Celan e privilegiando il tema naturalistico presente nelle sue composizioni. Il saggio lascia emergere come quest’ultimo non si sviluppi casualmente, ma secondo una scelta accurata di naturalisti, e delle loro opere, interessati a un rapporto corpi/ ambiente che oggi chiameremmo simbiotico o sympoiesis (dipendenza tra tanti). Attraverso questa lente si interroga tanto la teodicea, quanto l’epistemologia della storia naturale (anzi, delle storie naturali), configurate attraverso usi letterari alternativi (la storia naturale di W.G. Sebald, per esempio), che danno invece corpo a un modello di narrazione oggettivo, documentario. Mettendo a confronto il modello oggettivista con quello poetico-esperienziale, il saggio dischiude una prospettiva ecologica ed etica sulla narrazione del trauma. Pur restando rigoroso nel metodo storico, non si rivolge a un pubblico di specialisti, ma a chi vuole affrontare il problema filosofico del male in senso laico.

Il problema dell’individuazione, ossia la giustificazione della possibilità ontologica e della pensabilità logica dell’individuo, è una questione che, sebbene sia presente in nuce nella filosofia antica, assume la sua fisionomia di problema autonomo e circoscritto nello svilupparsi della Scolastica medioevale, in particolar modo dalla metà del XIII secolo in avanti. Nella quinta delle sue Disputazioni metafisiche (1597), opera capitale della filosofia moderna, Francisco Suárez propone una trattazione sistematica del problema dell’individuazione, prendendo le mosse dalle dottrine elaborate al riguardo da Tommaso d’Aquino, Giovanni Duns Scoto e Guglielmo d’Ockham. La soluzione proposta dal gesuita spagnolo, sorta di sintesi della tradizione scolastica sull’argomento, non è esente da difficoltà, come i curatori di questa prima traduzione italiana mettono bene in luce nell’introduzione. Tuttavia, le oscillazioni di Suárez sull’argomento, nonché l’acutezza delle sue osservazioni, rendono questa quinta Disputazione un classico della tradizione metafisica, mostrando al lettore la centralità che la quaestio de principio individuationis riveste nella filosofia classica.
