Il tempo dei giovani, ristampa della ricerca promossa dallo IARD, é una ricerca sui giovani, ma é una ricerca, per un aspetto importante, diversa dalle tante che sono state svolte su questo oggetto. Essa assume infatti il modo di porsi di fronte al tempo come ottica privilegiata per esplorare la condizione giovanile. L'idea di condurre una ricerca adottando questa ottica e nata da una certa sensazione di riduttività che le ricerche sui giovani prodotte negli ultimi anni tendono a suscitare. Si sanno molte cose sui rapporto tra giovani e lavoro, sugli atteggiamenti dei giovani nei confronti della politica, sui loro rapporti con la famiglia e con la scuola, sui modi con cui usano il tempo libero, sui loro consumi. Ma la sensazione di riduttività nasce dal fatto che la condizione giovanile e comunque qualcosa di più della somma dei suoi singoli aspetti e che trascurando questo elemento aggiuntivo e unificante si perde qualcosa di sostanziale. Si avverte che il nocciolo della questione giovanile consiste nel fatto di presentarsi nei termini di una sindrome globale che non si lascia ridurre ai singoli aspetti del rapporto tra giovani e società considerati uno alla volta. Si presume, cioè, l' esistenza di un momento unificante che sembra attraversare trasversalmente i vari aspetti e conferire ad essi una fisionomia particolare.

Leclerq Professor presso l'Universit Catholique di Louvain-la-Neuve, Fellow presso l'Institute for Advanced Studies di Budapest. Der Alltag der Jugendlichen hat sich just in dieser Zeitspanne erheblich verändert. Quali prospettive di valori, quali speranze e aspettative hanno i giovani dell'Euregio Tirolo-Alto Adige-Trentino? Quale visione hanno del loro futuro personale e sociale? Cosa è importante nella loro dimensione privata, in quella pubblica e in ambito religioso? Che cosa pensano sulle tematiche della migrazione e dell'inclusione? Ragazzi e ragazze dai 14 ai 16 anni di tutti i distretti delle tre regioni forniscono informazioni su queste e altre domande in un rilevante studio condotto dalla Pädagogische Hochschule del Tirolo e dalla Kirchliche Pädagogische Hochschule Edith Stein. La fase di rilevamento dei dati coincide con la pandemia da COVID19 in Europa e con le restrizioni in corso, i cambiamenti e le successive discussioni. La vita quotidiana dei giovani è mutata notevolmente proprio in questo periodo di tempo.
