Questo libro giunge dopo molte peripezie nelle mani dei lettori italiani. Viene pubblicato a molti anni dalla morte del dottor Crosa, avvenuta nel giugno del 1974. Nel 1970 c’era stata un’edizione del testo in lingua tedesca firmata con lo pseudonimo “dottor Ripi”, ma poi la sua prematura scomparsa fece arenare la pubblicazione italiana. L’attività scientifica di Crosa più importante fu l’aver introdotto in Italia il Training Autogeno del dottor Schultz. Anche se nel periodo in cui egli sviluppò le sue doti medianiche c’era, nei paesi di lingua tedesca, molta attenzione per la fenomenologia paranormale e grande fervore di ricerca, scelse tuttavia di firmare con uno pseudonimo perché, essendo uno psichiatra molto noto, temeva che la sua attività di medium non sarebbe stata capita e accettata. Le tredici lezioni spaziano in molti campi e trattano con originalità i temi più diversi, molto al di là dei limiti della parapsicologia, inoltre le considerazioni finali del dottor Crosa restituiscono in pieno la cultura, il senso critico, la grande apertura mentale del loro Autore.
