O livro relata experiências pedagógicas, vividas por educadores de diferentes segmentos do Colégio Rio Branco, num movimento de inovação curricular que busca a ressignificação das salas de aula, traduzindo, em novas práticas, as necessidades de aprender e de ensinar alinhadas ao mundo contemporâneo. Todos eles têm como pano de fundo uma nova organização do ano letivo, experimentada desde 2017 no Colégio Rio Branco, que envolve três ciclos de duração e estrutura avaliativa semelhantes (denominados Ciclos Fundamentais); e um último ciclo, denominado de Ciclo Síntese, focado na personalização da aprendizagem, oferecendo oportunidades de Consolidação para os alunos em dificuldades em algum componente curricular e de Aprimoramento, em que seriam desenvolvidos projetos envolvendo várias áreas do conhecimento.
