Zoe's learned to hide her feelings. An unhappy upbringing taught her all about trust and relying on others. Her aloneness is ended when she miraculously finds a loving grandmother anxious to share Zoe with extended family. Unnerved, Zoe begs they temporarily keep their relationship secret. Dr. Connor Matthews returns home disheartened by the carnage he witnessed during years of charity work overseas. Discovering a scheming housemate hoodwinking the old lady (Bess) he's come to love helps him set aside his disillusionment. He concentrates on ridding Bess of this unsavory character. Zoe digs in her toes. She provokes the insufferable Connor, taunting that she'll leave only when Bess asks. Connor vows to oust her as more reasons to suspect Zoe's honesty surface. The issue becomes clouded as Connor and Zoe grow closer. Too soon Connor realizes it was not Bess who needed protecting, but himself.

If you are looking for sex, bad language, gory violence, zombies and earth invading aliens this story is not for you. If you want a gentle uplifting tale of human endeavour and relationships with a liberal sprinkling of historical and geographical facts plus a huge helping of the 'feel good factor' then read on. Kate becomes the driving force behind architect James O'Hara's efforts to build a unique National Theme Park. Its purpose is not like that of any other in the world. Finding financial backing for this altruistic project is virtually impossible. In their efforts to raise the necessary funds they are drawn ever closer together, with several other love interests developing amongst the team gathered around them in pursuit of their dream. As the tale evolves so the pace quickens, with each chapter producing twists and sub plots. There are numerous surprises and seemingly unnatural coincidences emergent from the so called 'Chaos Theory' and the 'Six Degrees of Separation' phenomenon which add to the intrigue. The author apologises for the tear jerking inclusion of one chapter in particular which cannot fail to moisten the eyes of those readers with a sensitive disposition. However, it was an essential element of the plot and it is hoped it will not spoil your enjoyment of the overall narrative.

Thomas Jefferson written by Max Lerner and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-07-12 with Political Science categories.

Over the course of more than six decades as an author, journalist, and professor, Max Lerner studied and assessed many presidents, yet Thomas Jefferson received his most sustained attention. To Lerner, Jefferson came closest in the American context to Plato's "philosopher-king," the ideal thinker and leader. Because of his keen sense of Jefferson's virtues and his unique place in United States history, Lerner began work on a book about Jefferson in 1957, rewriting it several times throughout his life, always with the intention of introducing general readers to "a thinker and public figure of enduring pertinence." In this volume, Lerner uses the facts of Jefferson's life and work as the springboard to insightful analysis and informed assessment. In considering Jefferson, Lerner combines biographical information, historical background, and analytical commentary. The result is a biographical-interpretive volume, a primer about Jefferson that not only describes his accomplishments, but discusses his problems and failures. As political figures have declined in esteem in recent decades, the media has probed deeper into previously private lives. Historians, biographers, and others have revealed personal details about deceased prominent figures. Two centuries after he helped create America, Jefferson remains a figure of enduring fascination within academic circles and beyond. Max Lerner helps explain and clarify not only this unending fascination, but the timeless relevance of the nation's devoutly democratic yet singularly authentic "philosopher-king."
