'I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.' (Matthew 12:36) R. T. Kendall admits that this Bible verse worries him, as he knows he will one day have some explaining to do! If you are honest, how does it make you feel? Controlling the tongue - having the wisdom to know what to say and when to say it - is one of the toughest biblical commandments we face. We often fail to realise the power of the spoken word, and our careless talk can sometimes be more damaging than we realise. But in this unique book R. T. demonstrates that, with the help of the Holy Spirit, the challenge is not beyond us. Learning to control the tongue will not only make you faithful to God's call but will also strengthen your character, making you more like Jesus.

#1 New York Times bestselling author Joyce Meyer discusses the importance of words in Change Your Words, Change Your Life: "Words are a big deal. They are containers for power, and we have to decide what kind of power we want our words to carry. . . . I believe that our words can increase or decrease our level of joy. They can affect the answers to our prayers and have a positive or negative effect on our future. . . . One might say that our words are a movie screen that reveals what we have been thinking and the attitudes we have." Building on the premises of her bestselling books, Power Thoughts and Living Beyond Your Feelings, Joyce examines how we use words-the vehicles that convey our thoughts and emotions-and provides a series of guidelines for cultivating talk that is constructive, healthy, healing, and used for good results. Topics include: The Impact of Words How to Tame Your Tongue How to be Happy When to talk and when not to talk Speaking Faith and Not Fear The Corrosion of Complaints Do you really have to give your opinion? The importance of keeping your word The power of speaking God's word How to have a smart mouth In "A Dictionary of God's Word" at the end of the book, Joyce provides dozens of scripture verses, arranged by topic, and recommends that we read them aloud to strengthen our vocabulary of healing words.

Our World and Our Words is a collection of poems, a delight to read and a magical journey of the soul, beautifully describing our natural world, as experienced through the senses, but delving deeper and seeing beyond the surface into nature's spiritual essence. Indeed, readers will be touched by insights and inspired to feel more peaceful and hopeful. The book takes the reader on a spiritual journey, taking wings and traveling to the heart of Heaven; it is a rhapsody to nature and blossoms in springtime, blinding snowfall, rivers playing music, flaming flowers, birds singing, and water's gentle kiss on grass. The poems call on the reader to "reach to the sky" and "polish dark lands by peace"; floating mind and dreaming of a world where words of peace can solve differences, and man can change for the better, just as blossoms change in the spring.

Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures (PNES) can cause blackouts, collapses, involuntary movements, loss of memory and have major impact on quality of life. Whereas epilepsy is caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain, PNES are psychological-based responses to triggers inside or outside the body that are perceived as threatening by the person affected. PNES are poorly understood by the medical community. It is common for doctors to struggle to explain this diagnosis, which can leave their patients frustrated and confused. Often people are told that their PNES are caused by "stress" and sent away with no further support or advice. It is no wonder that those affected feel isolated, abandoned and hopeless about living with the condition. In Our Words: Personal Accounts of Living with Non-Epileptic Seizures shows those diagnosed with PNES that they are not alone, and how others have courageously managed to come to terms with their seizures. These heartfelt personal accounts will also allow family, friends, healthcare providers and researchers to gain more understanding of the condition and work to provide a better quality of life to those living with PNES.

How can teachers help their students to meet high standards of reading and writing while also preparing them to become thoughtful and productive members of a multicultural society? And why is it important to do this? In her new book, Mary Dilg brings us into her high school English classroom, where we see students reach across the social, cultural, and economic lines that divide them to build lifelong literacy skills. The book explores what happens when we introduce students to the words of a broad spectrum of American scholars, writers, and artists and then invite them to examine, debate, and negotiate the ideas presented. Dilg provides a safe space to explore complex issues and includes samples of classroom writing to demonstrate how students use their language arts classroom to make sense of themselves and their world.

There is simply no value put on words, we can all speak them; they don't cost any money, as they are free to all they are simply not appreciated. Words, however, are the reason that one person lives a life of abundance while another person lives a life of lack. Words can open doorways that hands can not. They can break down invisible boundaries. A few words can destroy life or breathe new life into a withering one. Words can fill a person full of happiness or fill them full of despair. Words can build up a person's confidence, or take it crashing to the ground. As most people do not value their words, they misuse them, which allows the power of their words to work against them. They want to go in one direction, but their words push them in another. This conflict is what most people battle with each day. They ask God to grace their lives with favor, health and abundance, but their words keep them in a life full of disappointment, sickness, and lack. In this book, I want to share with you the correct way to harness the power of your words, so instead of holding you back, they propel you towards the life that you desire. The life that you were destined to live. I will draw from personal experience and Scripture to illustrate how positive thoughts and words can be used to overcome every challenge that stands in your way. I will share how important it is to stop the habit of talking idly about your problems and instead focus on speaking about solutions. "Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do."- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe Pick up your copy today by clicking the BUY NOW button at the top of this page.
