God's Vineyard, Israel is a book about God's relationship with Israel. It is an exposition of Israel's spiritual condition, starting with God's deliverance of Israel from slavery and His ongoing intervention in their lives up to their spiritual decline. According to 1 Corinthians 10:11, Israel serves as an example for instruction for those upon whom the end of the ages have come, i.e. those who live in the latter days. Israel's turning to idolatry, false gods and syncretism (the fusion of holy with unholy) led to their falling away from God. Th e same falling away of the church is mentioned by Paul in the second book of Th essalonians which is indicative of the time toward the end of the age or the fulfi llment of the times of the Gentiles. A clear pattern emerges from those who are delivered from the kingdom of darkness into salvation and then the yearning for their previous condition. After God delivered Israel from Egypt, the Israelites yearned for their past. Th ereby, the repeated exhortation from Jesus Christ and others in the New Testament serve to explain the necessity to persevere unto the end. Th e similarity between ancient Israel and the modern church is noteworthy and one can only understand what is and will happen to the church through the example of Israel. Th is instruction is not only prophetic but serves as clear instruction and warning for modern believers. An analysis of idolatry and the consequences thereof explain the past, current and future probability of life as we know it. Contrary to world opinion of the causes and solutions to pollution, the Bible clearly states that it is the spiritual condition of mankind that determines the state of the earth. Th e Old Testament asserts that when Israel repented God often relented of the calamities He intended to send to them due to their idolatry. God's Vineyard, Israel makes for interesting and relevant reading for all people and often provides God's perspective rather than people's opinions or speculations. God's Vineyard, Israel provides examples of God's wrath and ancient judgments with the overwhelming message that few are saved! In between the severity of God's dealings with Israel and their ongoing rebellion is chapter 4, God's solution to humanity, His Son, Jesus Christ whose coming was prophesied throughout the Old Testament, the One who embodied God's grace and love for humanity! God's Vineyard is pertaining to the times in which we live, whereby increasingly people are falling away from the truth, seeking to create their own reality. It is a book led by the Holy Spirit of God and therefore relevant to the current spiritual condition that prevails throughout the world.

"Laborers in the Vineyard of the Lord is church history without the halo. Yet, it is respectful of the nuances peculiar to the AMEC fellowship. It is church history in painstaking detail, but not in isolation to the social, economic, and political dynamics of the period. This is good writing, good research, and good scholarship."--Bishop Adam J. Richardson, Jr., 19th Episcopal District, AME Church, Johannesburg, South Africa "This study of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Florida makes a significant contribution to our knowledge of African American, Florida, and Southern History. It treats far more than just religion -- it illuminates the entire post-Civil War era in Florida."--Joe M. Richardson, Florida State University "A brilliant and lively work that brings alive black Methodism in the late 19th century. This is an extremely important and original contribution to the history of Reconstruction in Florida, filled with fresh insights." -- Stephen W. Angell, Florida A&M University "Describes the complicated relationship between black church development and black political participation during the Reconstruction era and its aftermath. The authors persuasively demonstrate how black religion extended its protection to freedmen in both sacred and secular settings." -- Dennis C. Dickerson, Vanderbilt University Written by two eminent historians, Laborers in the Vineyard of the Lord examines the history of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Florida from the beginning of Reconstruction to the institution of Jim Crow segregation, a period when the AME Church played a crucial role in the religious, cultural, and political lives of black Floridians. The book begins with an overview of slave religion and the first stirrings of African Methodism before 1865 and culminates with the formidable challenges that faced the church by 1895. Not only did the AME Church save lives for Christ, it emerged as a force to be reckoned with in politics. Men such as Charles H. Pearce and Robert Meacham became powerhouses in state and local affairs as well as in the church. They and their fellow ministers fought for the participation of blacks in the governing process and promoted education and employment for all blacks and poor whites. Numerous others staunchly supported the growing national phenomenon of the temperance movement. Drawing on primary sources such as church newspapers and previously overlooked records, the authors also relate the gripping drama of the inner dynamics of AME church life and examine the impact of personality interactions on its leadership. This case study of an independent church that produced broad religious and civil freedoms for African Americans offers a detailed account of the successes and failures of one of the largest and most effective institutions in post-Civil War and late-19th-century Florida. Larry Eugene Rivers is Distinguished Professor of History at Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, and the author of Slavery in Florida: Territorial Days to Emancipation (UPF, 2000). His work has been recognized with the Florida Historical Society's Arthur W. Thompson Prize and the Association for the Study of African American Life and History's Carter G. Woodson Prize. Canter Brown, Jr., is the author of many works on Florida history, including Florida's Peace River Frontier (UPF, 1991); Ossian Bingley Hart, Florida's Loyalist Reconstruction Governor; and Florida's Black Public Officials, 1867-1924. He has received the Florida Historical Society's Rembert W. Patrick Book Award and the American Association for State and Local History's Certificate of Commendation. He has taught at Florida A&M University.

Every life holds times of happiness, but also times of disappointment and confusion. We feel pressure from all sides and wonder if God is really there. We call out to God, wanting to know the purpose and value of the season in which we find ourselves. With her wise counsel and gentle encouragement, bestselling author Pamela Reeve leads readers to see the often unrecognized miracle that God is working in our lives to bring about spiritual growth. Drawing from John 15, she reveals the secret to true and lasting peace in the midst of routine or change, in gladness or extreme sorrow. Lush vineyard photographs beautifully illustrate how God lovingly prunes us to bear the fruit of Christ living within us. A Vineyard in the Desert? It doesn't make sense. Why would the Master Gardner plant His tender vines in a hostile place where searing sun, nameless blights, and biting pests descend to consume the maturing grapes? Why would He cut back those vines so severely, exposing them to merciless heat? Because the sweetest, most bountiful harvest of fruit will burst from thise very vines, so carefully tended by a wise heart and loving hands. Within these pages of this stunningly beautiful book, Pam Reeve shows how our Lord brings hope and sweet new wine from the very pressure, sorrows, and dissappointments that encroah upon the seasons of our lives. Story Behind the Book An encounter with a desert vineyard in her youth led Dr. Reeve to a lifelong interest in vines and vineyards. In talks to college students and women’s groups around the country, she uses magnificent slides and a gentle message of courage and hope to the overwhelmed, the discouraged, and those enduring difficult seasons in their lives. This book will inspire readers to depend on Christ living within them to produce His character within and fruit through them. It is not our own religious efforts, but Christ living within us, that promotes spiritual growth.

Its no secret that just about everyone today realizes that we are now living in the last of the last days. What Christ proclaimed in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 is coming to pass!Christ gave warning that the period of time known as day, when the works of the Father could be done, would then be followed by night, when no man could work.1000 years are as a day to the Lord and a day as 1000 years. Therefore might we not deduce that 41.7 years are as an hour and .7 years as a minute? Twilight lasts an average of forty minutes in the natural, therefore Twilight in Gods Spiritual Day would be 28 years. We are now well into this time of spiritual twilight and TWILIGHT IN THE VINEYARD proclaims the lateness of the hour and gives warning of how little time is left before the Tribulation begins."And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all things under Him, that Yahweh may be all in all." I Cor.15:28 The above verse states the eternal PURPOSE of Yahweh. It is to this end that we should be striving. Thus I have been led to write this book:1. To warn His adopted children who make up the Body of Christ that His return is near2. To state the truth about the nation of Israel and encourage our Jewish brethren to realize that Yahshua is their Messiah (Mashiach) 3. To warn America and other nations that they need to repent and humble them selves before The Almighty Creator4. To explain why America and Britain are allies of Israel5. To inform His dispersed, chosen children of the House of Israel that they will soon be undergoing terrible times during that period referred to as Jacobs trouble but to realize their heritage and know that He will help them.6. To give information on topics that has often been ignored or misunderstood.CAN YOU ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS?Why is the story of JOSEPH so relevant for today? When will the tribulation will begin?Who will really make up the 144,000 and where will they be found? What is the Gospel of the Kingdom? When and where will Christ return?Who is the Mahdi? What is the difference between Satans angels and his demons? What happened between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2?Why should we know about Nimrod, Semiramis and Tammuz? Why is America under Yahwehs judgement? Was Eve really created from only a rib of Adam?Who is the one who restrains the coming of the antichrist?Who is the woman in the 12th Chapter of Revelation? Will persecution be vented upon American Christians? What is the importance of the Feast Days of the Lord?Did Christ really die on Friday and rise up on Sunday? What did Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah do?Why is the story of Joseph and his sons significant...especially for us today! Why is Babylon mentioned so often in scripture? To find the answers to these questions and to learn more on many other topics, I urge you to read this book...which was ordained to be written by Yahweh in 1983 at which time He gave this author its title.TWILIGHT IN THE VINEYARD is an anthology and includes the following topics:Name of the Almighty Creator - YHWH, Creator of the Spiritual Realm - YHWH, Creator of Man - YHWH, the Planter - America, Past, Present?ǪFuture? - America, Wake Up! - Babylon - Gospel of the Kingdom - Kingdom of Darkness - The One Who Restrains - Present Day Vineyard of the Lord - The Antichrist - Coming Persecution - Words and Dreams From the Lord - Words from the Heart - To All My True Brothers and Sisters in Our LordPsalm 26:7 "That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all Thy wondrous works."Shalom, JoJean
