To be his second publication to the Christendom, the book is heralded for its spiritual enlightenment, enrichment and encouragement. The author has used the concepts of conformation, transformation and reformation to bring out his spiritual walk with Christ which has been quite rewarding to him and those he has ministered to. No doubt he can exclaim the satisfaction, contentment and gain as it comes from being perfected and used by his God. His intent of this literature is to make the scriptures an opened and rewarding experience with any believer who wants to commit his life and time in becoming the being God wants to create. Apparently he has learned the secret of developing an eternal perspective in the midst of his earthly problems. For he was able to live above his circumstances and rejoice even while being persecuted because of his firm grasp on who he was in Christ and where he was going. In spite of his life situations, he could write, "For in him I live, and move, and have my being." Being confident of this very thing, that He (God) which hath begun a good work in him will perform it until the day of his coming.

God Of Love And God Of Reason written by David R. Mason and has been published by Wipf and Stock Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-02-18 with Religion categories.
These homilies, lectures, and essays vigorously champion the author's conviction that it is reasonable to believe in a God of "pure unbounded love" and, also, that the best religion is a reasonable religion. That is, "the God of Love" is "the God of Reason" and, as a seventeenth-century Cambridge preacher put it, "If you would be religious, be rational in your religion." Thus, these essays challenge both the New Atheists and Fundamentalists, who are twins like Tweedledum and Tweedledee. And they aim, positively, to unpack the meaning and implications of Jesus' dictum: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

Feminist Interpretations Of Mary Daly written by Sarah Lucia Hoagland and has been published by Penn State Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-11 with Social Science categories.
This open-ended anthology is a journey into the very canon that Mary Daly has argued to be patriarchal and demeaning to women. This volume deauthorizes the official canon of Western philosophy and disrupts a related story told by some feminists who claim that Daly&’s work is unworthy of re-reading because it contains fatal errors. The editors and contributors attempt to prove that Mary Daly is located in the Western intellectual tradition. Daly may be highly critical of conventional Western epistemological and theological traditions, but she nevertheless appropriates themes &“out-of-context&” for the building of her own systematic philosophy. The following are just a few of the many themes explored in this volume: &• the question of subjectivity understood as an ongoing process of be-coming &• the ambiguity of the need for feminists of colonial nations to speak out about violence against women in other parts of the world while that speaking carries with it the stamp of a colonial location &• the territoriality of lesbian and women&’s space &• the theological dimensions of twentieth-century Western philosophy. Contributors are Wanda Warren Berry, Purushottama Bilimoria, Debra Campbell, Molly Dragiewicz, Frances Gray, Amber L. Katherine, AnaLouise Keating, Anne-Marie Korte, Mar&ía Lugones, Geraldine Moane, Sheilagh A. Mogford, Laurel C. Schneider, Renuka Sharma, and Marja Suhonen.

In Coming To, Timothy M. Harrison uncovers the forgotten role of poetry in the history of the idea of consciousness. Drawing our attention to a sea change in the English seventeenth century, when, over the course of a half century, “conscience” made a sudden shift to “consciousness,” he traces a line that leads from the philosophy of René Descartes to the poetry of John Milton, from the prenatal memories of theologian Thomas Traherne to the unresolved perspective on natality, consciousness, and ethics in the philosophy of John Locke. Each of these figures responded to the first-person perspective by turning to the origins of how human thought began. Taken together, as Harrison shows, this unlikely group of thinkers sheds new light on the emergence of the concept of consciousness and the significance of human natality to central questions in the fields of literature, philosophy, and the history of science.

Iqbal S Poetic Vision Metaphysics And Evolution written by Logan David Siler and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-06-24 with Philosophy categories.
This book explores Muhammad Iqbal’s poetic vision of a universe in a state of becoming, and, by putting this vision in conversation with contemporary metaphysical models, articulates the contribution Iqbal’s vision makes to discussions about Islamic theology, philosophy, and science. To do so, the book articulates Iqbal’s critique of the Islamic tradition and distinguishes his system from classical Islamic thought while also highlighting his positive influences in this regard (Al-Biruni, Suhrawardi, etc). It explores features of Iqbal’s vision in light of contemporary metaphysical models by emphasizing three key elements of his thought—metaphysics of becoming, panentheism and panpsychism. While locating Iqbal within the spectrum of these particular schools of thought, Logan David Siler discusses the strengths of his position, and reveals the relevance of his thought to the religion and science conversation—particularly in the realm of evolutionary biology. It is these realms of thought that articulate the most formidable challenges to the theistic view. Yet, Iqbal offers a vision which provides a means to challenge the more metaphysical claims of scientism. Additionally, Siler critiques the shortcomings of Iqbal's vision and offers suggestions for how to improve it.

The Routledge Handbook Of Idealism And Immaterialism written by Joshua Farris and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-09-12 with Philosophy categories.
The influence of materialist ontology largely dominates philosophical and scientific discussions. However, there is a resurgent interest in alternative ontologies from panpsychism (the view that at the base of reality exists potential minds, minds, or mind-lets) to idealism and dualism (the view that all of reality is material and mental). The Routledge Handbook of Idealism and Immaterialism is an outstanding reference source and the first major collection of its kind. Historically grounded and constructively motivated, it covers the key topics in philosophy, science, and theology, providing students and scholars with a comprehensive introduction to idealism and immaterialism. Also addressed are post-materialism developments, with explicit attention to variations of idealism and immaterialism (the view that reality depends on a mind or a set of minds). Comprising 44 chapters written by an international and interdisciplinary team of contributors, the Handbook is organised into five clear parts: Idealism and the history of philosophy Important figures in idealism Systematic assessment of idealism Idealism and science Idealism, physicalism, panpsychism, and substance dualism Essential reading for students and researchers in metaphysics, philosophy of science, philosophy of religion, and philosophy of mind, The Routledge Handbook of Idealism and Immaterialism will also be of interest to those in related discplines where idealist and immaterialist ontology impinge on history, science, and theology.

This book critically explores answers to the big question, What produced our universe around fifteen billion years ago in a Big Bang? It critiques contemporary atheistic cosmologies, including Steady State, Oscillationism, Big Fizz, Big Divide, and Big Accident, that affirm the eternity and self-sufficiency of the universe without God. This study defends and revises Process Theology and arguments for God's existence from the universe's life-supporting order and contingent existence.
