Dementia Lab 2025 Ethics Aesthetics In Design written by Rita Maldonado Branco and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-05-01 with Design categories.

This is an open access book. It gathers revised and selected contributions to the 7th Dementia Lab Conference, D-Lab 2025, held on March 13–14, 2025, in Aveiro, Portugal, reporting on innovative research aimed at improving the lives of people with dementia, their loved ones, and their caregivers. This edition addresses the theme of ethics + aesthetics in design. Ethics emphasize justice, advocate for inclusive, person-centred practices, and challenge societal stigmas. Aesthetics, beyond beauty, focus on sensory and emotional engagement, which becomes increasingly significant as dementia progresses. Together, these principles guide innovative design approaches that enhance care, identity, and connection. Being organized into three themes, Designing with People with Dementia, Including Design in Dementia Care, and Design within Cultures of Care, this collection highlights research on participation, technology, and the cultural dimensions of care. It also demonstrates the key role of design in creating products and environments that embrace aesthetic value and is expected to challenge stigmas and unrealistic assumptions about people living with dementia

Beyond The Translator S Invisibility written by Peter J. Freeth and has been published by Leuven University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-01-08 with Language Arts & Disciplines categories.

The question of whether to disclose that a text is a translation and thereby give visibility to the translator has dominated discussions on translation throughout history. Despite becoming one of the most ubiquitous terms in translation studies, however, the concept of translator (in)visibility is often criticized for being vague, overly adaptable, and grounded in literary contexts. This interdisciplinary volume therefore draws on concepts from fields such as sociology, the digital humanities, and interpreting studies to develop and operationalize theoretical understandings of translator visibility beyond these existing criticisms and limitations. Through empirical case studies spanning areas including social media research, reception studies, institutional translation, and literary translation, this volume demonstrates the value of understanding the visibilities of translators and translation in the plural and adds much-needed nuance to one of translation studies’ most pervasive, polarizing, and imprecise concepts.

The Routledge International Handbook Of Public Administration And Digital Governance written by Sarah Giest and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-12-30 with Business & Economics categories.

The Routledge Handbook of Public Administration and Digital Governance is a comprehensive, cutting-edge guide for students, scholars, practitioners of public policy, public administration and digital governance. The book demonstrates the diverse nature of "digital government" through a series of case studies from different regions across the globe, including Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe. The book uses these cases to highlight various aspects and implications of the intersection of digital technologies and public administration. These include impact of practices and principles of public administration, the effects of particular technologies/tools and the relationship between state and citizen. The book also addresses barriers and enablers to the adoption of digital technology, with select chapters focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) in governmental contexts by leading practitioners and scholars. Rather than providing region-specific lessons, the cases identify common challenges, offering a more holistic understanding of public administration in the digital era. With contributions from both practitioners and scholars, this handbook will be a compelling resource for those researching, studying or working in public administration, public leadership, information systems, political science and other related fields.
