Poin pentingnya, Muhasabah Cinta mewakili perasaan rindu kita, perasaan sayang kita akan kejujuran yang makin langka; tentang rasa kemanusiaan yang sejatinya ada dan di atas kedudukan yang bagaimanapun. Muhasabah Cinta adalah persoalan perenungan yang laiknya dibutuhkan agar kita tetap menjadi manusia yang manusiawi, di zaman yang makin hari tinjauannya makin materialis ini. Yang tolak ukur status dan muruah ditentukan oleh besaran nominal yang dimiliki. Dilihat dari segi konten, sebagai misal, ada diksi “Jujur” dalam satu bagian buku ini. “Jujur” sebagai kata kunci dijadikan tolak uraian dalam pembahasannya. Dalil dan kata hikmah pun bersinggungan dengan kosakata yang jadi subjudul tersebut. Begitu berlaku untuk subjudul berikutnya, sampai berjumlah 99 kosakata. Juga 99 doa harian yang menyelingi di akhir tiap bagiannya. Akhirnya, tak ada gading yang tak retak. Pada proses hidup dan kehidupan ini, kita tak berarti apa-apa tanpa kehendak-Nya. Yaitu, kehendak-Nya untuk menjadikan keislaman, keimanan, dan keikhsanan ada pada diri seseorang hingga ia menemui ajalnya, “Ya Tuhan kami, ampunilah dosa-dosa kami dan hapuskanlah kesalahan-kesalahan kami, dan matikanlah kami beserta orang-orang yang berbakti.” (Q. S. Ali -‘Imrân [3]:193). Waallahu a’lamu bish-shawab.
