• Investigates drumming-induced trance states through shamanic journeying • Provides advanced lucid dreaming training, sharing techniques for inducing lucidity and skillfully navigating our inner cosmos • Explores the mindful use of psychedelics, offering guidance on setting intention, navigating the experience, and integrating insights OFFERING TECHNIQUES from psychonauts ancient and modern, this profound guide helps you navigate consciously into the depths of the human psyche. Psychonavigation is the art of mindfully exploring the liminal realms of consciousness. This requires a map, a guide, and a clear intent, so one does not emerge overwhelmed and struggling with unexpected shadow material. Norma and Nisha Burton map the important connection between three gateways into the psyche’s depths: lucid dreaming, shamanic drumming trance journeys, and ceremonial plant medicine journeys. With drumming-induced trance journeys, they explore the scientific effect on brainwave frequencies alongside consciousness teachings from indigenous cultures like the Sami of Norway and Huichol of Mexico. Their masterful approach to lucid dreaming transcends basic instruction, offering sophisticated techniques to not only summon but sustain lucidity and integrate suppressed parts of oneself. They explain how a mindful engagement with entheogens can be profoundly enhanced through these precursory mystical practices, creating a safe container for integration and meaning-making that honors the gravity of such experiences. With these skillful methodologies, ancient psycho-spiritual techniques meet ultra-current science to enable seekers to process and integrate profound encounters with expanded consciousness.

Mapping Different Geographies written by Karel Kriz and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-09-15 with Science categories.
This book is the outcome of the work of contributors who participated in the wo- shop “Mapping Different Geographies (MDG)” in February 2010, held in Puchberg am Schneeberg, Austria. This meeting brought together cartographers, artists and geoscientists who research and practice in applications that focus on enhancing o- to-one communication or develop and evaluate methodologies that provide inno- tive methods for sharing information. The main intention of the workshop was to investigate how ‘different’ geographies are being mapped and the possibilities for developing new theories and techniques for information design and transfer based on place or location. So as to communicate these concepts it was important to appreciate the many contrasting meanings of ‘mapping’ that were held by workshop participants. Also, the many (and varied) viewpoints of what different geographies are, were ela- rated upon and discussed. Therefore, as the focus on space and time was embedded within everyone’s felds of investigation, this was addressed during the workshop. This resulted in very engaging discourse, which, in some cases, exposed the restrictions that certain approaches need to consider. For participants, this proved to be most useful, as this allowed them to appreciate the limits and restrictions of their own approach to understanding and representing different geographies. As well, the workshop also was most helpful as a vehicle for demonstrating the common ground of interest held by the very diverse areas of endeavour that the workshop participants work within.

“Clinton Callahan is an original thinker.” – Marilyn Ferguson, author, The Aquarian Conspiracy and Aquarius Now, and former editor Brain-Mind Bulletin. "For modern seekers, responding to the call for initiation into relationship, here is an open invitation." MALIDOMA SOME, AUTHOR "OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT" It's one of those rare books that will definitely wake you up. I consider it must reading for anyone seriously interested in the path of conscious relationship." -- John Welwood, author of Journey of the Heart and Perfect Love, Imperfect Relationships This hard-hitting and innovative book about partnered relationship immediately challenges the deceptions about love and intimacy rampant in today’s patriarchal culture. At the same time, Building Love That Lasts reveals a step-by-step process for discovering and living out alternative possibilities. The author claims that even the best of our relationships are still generally basic level; what he calls “Ordinary Human Relationship.” He asserts that two more domains remain to be explored: namely, Extraordinary Human Relationship and Archetypal Love. The book describes exactly how to enter these new domains, and how to stay there long enough to cultivate genuine intimacy, nurturance, excitement and satisfaction together. The material for this book is startlingly original and fresh, directly distilled from over thirty years of trial, error and reevaluation within seminars and trainings conducted by the author in the U.S. and Europe. The essential teaching tools are “Thought-Maps” that illustrate and guide the dynamics of evolving relationship, coupled with a series of experiments/“explorations” to be undertaken alone or with one’s partner. Topics include: Making the leap from Defensive Learning to Expansive Learning. Breaking out of the relationship “Box.” The lie of being unlovable. Navigating in the realm of feelings. Communication skills for “explorers.

Using Schelling's philosophy, Ben Woodard examines how an expanded form of naturalism changes how we conceive of the division between thought and world, mathematics and motion, sense and dynamics, experiment and materiality, as well as speculation and pragmatism. Nature, in Schelling's eyes, is not the great outdoors or some authentic pastoral realm, but the various powers, processes and tendencies which run through biology, chemistry, physics and the very possibility of thought itself.

Inner Navigation written by Erik Jonsson and has been published by Simon and Schuster this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-06-15 with Science categories.
A FASCINATING INVESTIGATION OF HOW WE NAVIGATE THE PHYSICAL WORLD, INNER NAVIGATION IS A LIVELY, ENGAGING ACCOUNT OF SUBCONSCIOUS MAPMAKING. Why are we so often disoriented when we come up from the subway? Do we really walk in circles when we lose our bearings in the wilderness? How -- and why -- do we get lost at all? In this surprising, stimulating book, Erik Jonsson, a Swedish-born engineer who has spent a lifetime exploring navigation over every terrain, from the crowded cities of Europe to the emptiness of the desert, gives readers extraordinary new insights into the human way-finding system. Written for the nonscientist, Inner Navigation explains the astonishing array of physical and psychological cues the brain uses to situate us in space and build its "cognitive maps" -- the subconscious maps it employs to organize landmarks. Humans, Jonsson explains, also possess an intuitive direction frame -- an internal compass -- that keeps these maps oriented (when it functions properly) and a dead-reckoning system that constantly updates our location on the map as we move through the world. Even the most cynical city-dweller will be amazed to learn how much of this innate sense we use every day as we travel across town or around the world. Both a scientific and a human story, Inner Navigation contains a rich assortment of real-life insights and examples of the navigational challenges we all face, no matter where or how we live. It's a book that is as provocative to ponder as it is delightful to lose yourself in. Don't worry: Erik Jonsson will help you find your bearings.
