Ce document d’orientation a pour objet d’aider les membres de la FAO à intégrer des interventions visant à promouvoir l’emploi rural décent dans les différents sous secteurs agricoles. Il s’articule autour de trois grandes sections répondant respectivement aux questions: «Pourquoi», «Quand» et «Comment», intégrer l’ERD. La section «Comment intégrer des considérations relatives à l’emploi rural décent (ERD)» décrit et analyse les quatre phases suivantes de planficiation stratégiques: Phase 1: Exécution de l’analyse des problèmes et des parties prenantes – Adoption d’une perspective ERD; Phase 2: Identification des impacts et des bénéficiaires visés – Prioriser l’ERD; Phase 3: Élaboration de la chaîne de résultats et des stratégies et programmes permettant de les atteindre – Élaborer une chaîne de résultats intégrant la dimension de l’ERD; Phase 4: Élaboration du système de suivi et d’évaluation, avec des indicateurs intégrant la dimension de l’ERD. Le document donne des orientations globales dans le corps du texte, complété par des encadrés, des figures, des tableaux et des annexes contenant des exemples, des orientations techniques détaillées, des conseils et des listes de contrôle.
