Energy Internet And We Energy written by Qiuye Sun and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-07-12 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This book focuses on the framework and implementation of energy integration systems with energy and smart-control technologies. It describes in detail We-Energy, a novel energy interaction mode based on a cyber-physical-economy-energy model, which can be adopted to solve the problem of energy supply and utilization. It then analyzes the key devices and technologies for developing the Energy Internet, such as converters, energy-conversion devices, system-level connection devices, optimization control strategies, cyber-physical system security, energy-system stability, communication technologies’ operating modes and distributed optimization algorithms, to enable readers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the topic. Lastly, it offers an outlook on the development of the Energy Internet, providing a reference for cross-integration between different disciplines. The book is an indispensable resource for power enterprises, manufacturers in the power-supply industry, and researchers in the field of Energy Internet application. It is also useful for university and college teachers and students seeking to deepen their understanding of the Energy Internet, as well as for readers interested in the Energy Internet correlation techniques.

'This textbook is clearly a valuable resource for engineering students or anyone who wants to learn about wireless communication since it provides the technical fundamentals of the key theories and methods used for IoT communication … If you are interested in learning about the technical details of IoT and wireless communication, then this very well-written book, loaded with the fundamentals for understanding this rapidly growing system of the future, is well-worth reading.'IEEE Electrical Insulation MagazineThis textbook metamorphosed from notes that the author has been using to teach at four universities in Australia and New Zealand. The book treats the physical principles and design of wireless Internet of Things (IoT) systems from engineering perspective. IoT enables communication between people, between people and things, and between things. The book highlights the wide scope of sensors used in IoT - including RFIDs, smart mobile phones, home consumer devices, autonomous cars, utility meters, car park meters, robots, satellites, radars and wireless positioning systems. Three features render the book practically accessible. First, each chapter is organised in sections, each of which ends with a set of authentic review questions to motivate reflection. This is complemented by numerous worked examples in each section. Third, the book introduces two popular industry software packages for hands-on practice — MATLAB® and CelPlanner™. With the growing popularity of softwarisation and cloudification, possessing expertise in these packages makes one useful to the industry. Parts of this book are taught in undergraduate curriculum, while the rest is taught in graduate courses. Both traditional and modern topics including C-RAN, network slicing, NFV, NB-IoT and 5G use cases in IoT are covered.Instructor's resources are provided for free to instructors who adopt the book as textbook for a unit/ course/subject/paper. Collected Works Of Witold Hurewicz written by Witold Hurewicz and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1995 with Mathematics categories.

This book contains papers of the outstanding and versatile mathematician, Witold Hurewicz. Preceding the collection are introductory articles describing Hurewicz's contributions to Borel sets, dimension theory, and algebraic topology. Hurewicz first studied set theory and dimension, and his papers on this topic are especially clear and precise, making them accessible to beginning mathematicians. His work in algebraic topology is marked by five fundamental papers which provide an introduction to homotopy groups and the Hurewicz Theorem concerning the relation between homotopy and singular homology. These papers are included here in their original form along with English translations. Each paper in the collection is followed by a review from one of the major reviewing journals. These reviews were written by eminent mathematicians and serve as excellent abstracts for the papers.

Handbook Of The Fundamentals Of Financial Decision Making written by Leonard C. MacLean and has been published by World Scientific this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013 with Business & Economics categories.

This handbook in two parts covers key topics of the theory of financial decision making. Some of the papers discuss real applications or case studies as well. There are a number of new papers that have never been published before especially in Part II.Part I is concerned with Decision Making Under Uncertainty. This includes subsections on Arbitrage, Utility Theory, Risk Aversion and Static Portfolio Theory, and Stochastic Dominance. Part II is concerned with Dynamic Modeling that is the transition for static decision making to multiperiod decision making. The analysis starts with Risk Measures and then discusses Dynamic Portfolio Theory, Tactical Asset Allocation and Asset-Liability Management Using Utility and Goal Based Consumption-Investment Decision Models.A comprehensive set of problems both computational and review and mind expanding with many unsolved problems are in an accompanying problems book. The handbook plus the book of problems form a very strong set of materials for PhD and Masters courses both as the main or as supplementary text in finance theory, financial decision making and portfolio theory. For researchers, it is a valuable resource being an up to date treatment of topics in the classic books on these topics by Johnathan Ingersoll in 1988, and William Ziemba and Raymond Vickson in 1975 (updated 2 nd edition published in 2006).

State-of-the-art, flat structures called metasurfaces can filter and steer light and sound, render an object completely invisible to electromagnetic waves, and much more. They can deliver automation, remote operation, and advanced performance to a wide variety of existing systems, with applications in communications, medical imaging, sensing, and security. However, for non-specialists, individual metasurfaces are currently restricted to limited reusability and accessibility. This book brings together various scientific disciplines with the aim of outlining a programmable ‘plug-and-play’ metasurface. The book focuses on a recently proposed platform – known as the HyperSurface – that provides many electromagnetic functions of metasurfaces in a single structure, which can be controlled and reconfigured by software. This revolutionary approach paves the way for new opportunities in wireless communications and programmable wireless environments: HyperSurfaces could link networks with objects and physical environments and create smarter systems that are far more responsive to user demands. Walls that absorb radiation or block digital eavesdropping, and wireless, long-distance charging of devices are among the many possibilities. The book aspires to provide the foundational knowledge for creating an Internet of Materials, enabling smart environments at any scale – from indoor wireless communications to medical imaging equipment. Although the set of disciplines involved covers a considerable span, we hope that the material will benefit experts and students alike.
