Intimations Of The Soul Of A Seeker written by H. D. Wagener and has been published by iUniverse this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006-08 with Poetry categories.

Some of the poems in Intimations of the Soul of a Seeker are narrative, some are mystical, some both. Short poetic essays are here, and portraits of people. Included are a critique of the Apostle's Creed, notes on our abandonment of Jefferson's final wording of the Declaration, and considerations of time and light relative to Augustine and Einstein. The poems invoke thoughts on bonding with Gobi camel herders, a visit to the prenatal state, acceptance, connections between colored glass and worn-out lives, the mysteries of darkness and light in human experience, and a rule of life (an American antithesis) that reflects Gandhi, the Bahagavad Gita and an integration of the Gita with the Sermon on the Mount. Much else is here. See for yourself. In his poetry, H. D. sometimes attempts to approach or walk the limn between That which is real and that which is impermanent, or unreal. He recognizes that the limn cannot be crossed by the intellect. Even if H. D. could transcend the limn, he would be unable to express it. By approaching or attempting to walk the limn, H. D. hopes to entice others to join him in the quest to realize the truth of That Which Is.

Soul Seeker: Reflections on a Spiritual Journey from Darkness to the Light shares one man's reflections on his personal journey to healing, redemption, and spirituality. Describing himself as a former skeptic, his reflections begin with him trapped in a deep depression, resulting from a five-year battle with constant pain from an autoimmune disorder. Feeling hopeless and powerless, he hits the "darkest night of his soul" and decides to end his life. But this book is not about suicide, but rather, redemption. It begins with an awakening, visionary experience that leads to his healing and fills him with a permanent sense of well-being and an appreciation for life. As a result, he begins a journey to understand his spiritual awakening and his connection to a Higher Power. He examines and reflects in poetry, photography and prose, such things as mindfulness, meditation, spirituality, the soul, purpose and faith, messages of Mother Earth, love, truth, peace, blessings and sorrows, enlightenment, and very much more. At once a memoir of sorts, Soul Seeker also serves as an inspirational guide for others seeking their purpose in life and the meaning to existence. With clear language, well-explained concepts, this work is agile, easy to read, and full of wisdom from spiritual and metaphysical thinkers of the past two centuries. Perspectus' reflections look at: humanity's connection to the consciousness, energy, power, and matter in the universe; that each of our souls make up an even larger godlike consciousness or soul that is and always will be; the presence of a Higher Power within and outside of each of us; the existence of an eternal source of love, compassion, and redemption; and to never fear the dark. For without darkness, we will never find or know the true value of the light.

The Seeker S Guide written by Elizabeth Lesser and has been published by Ballantine Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-11-18 with Religion categories.

In 1977, Elizabeth Lesser cofounded the Omega Institute, now America's largest adult-education center focusing on wellness and spirituality. Working with many of the eminent thinkers of our times, including Zen masters, rabbis, Christian monks, psychologists, scientists, and an array of noted American figures--from L.A. Lakers coach Phil Jackson to author Maya Angelou--Lesser found that by combining a variety of religious, psychological, and healing traditions, each of us has the unique ability to satisfy our spiritual hunger. In The Seeker's Guid, she synthesizes the lessons learned from an immersion into the world's wisdom traditions and intertwines them with illuminating stories from her daily life. Recounting her own trials and errors and offering meditative exercises, she shows the reader how to create a personal practice, gauge one's progress, and choose effective spiritual teachers and habits. Warm, accessible, and wise, this book provides directions through the four landscapes of the spiritual journey: THE MIND: learning meditation to ease stress and anxiety THE HEART: dealing with grief, loss, and pain; opening the heart and becoming fully alive THE BODY: returning the body to the spiritual fold to heal and overcome the fear of aging and death THE SOUL: experiencing daily life as an adventure of meaning and mystery

Kierkegaard S Authorship written by George E. Arbaugh and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-01-15 with Philosophy categories.

First published in English in 1968, Kierkegaard's Authorship begins with a brief account of the life and meaning of Kierkegaard and concludes with the brief treatment of his relation to multifaceted existentialism. By reviewing the total authorship and by making available much of the fruit of widespread research, this work throws into relief Kierkegaard’s central purposes and makes it possible to avoid some of the dubious interpretations which have grown out of more narrowly selective study. This critical introduction and guide is especially important because Kierkegaard’s style was deliberately indirect and distorted and even more because half of the works are actually antagonistic to Kierkegaard’s own views. By the pseudonymous works he intended to lead into truth through a process of frustration, provoking the reader into existence. In another sense, the body of the book is also a biography for, in a degree perhaps without parallel in world history, the library which he created was his deed and life. This is an important read for scholars and researchers of Philosophy specially existentialism.
