Introductory Property Valuation Mathematics written by Ndubisi Onwuanyi and has been published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-09-02 with Business & Economics categories.
This book introduces the subject of valuation. It comprehensively explains basic concepts which connect valuation with economics such as price, value, rent and property market origins, characteristics and functions. However, the core issue is how the book handles the calculations required for property valuations. The valuation formulae are classified in helpful ways which highlight main formulae and their variants, relationships and functions. Many worked examples are used to demonstrate comprehensively the formulae’s relationships and functions. However, innovation is introduced by calculations done in both a forward and backward manner. Through this method, the answer to an initial worked example becomes a new question which is solved by a reverse calculation process to produce an answer corresponding to the initial question. This particularly illuminating approach enables effective and enduring learning and understanding.

This new edition of the ‘all in one' textbook for the postgraduate study of valuation on real estate courses retains its focus on the valuation and appraisal of commercial and industrial property across investment, development and occupier markets. It is structured from the client perspective and covers single-asset pricing, risk and return issues. The structure of the book has been substantially revised. Part A introduces the key microeconomic principles, focussing on land as a resource, production functions, supply and demand and price determination. The locational aspect of real estate is also introduced. Macroeconomic considerations are categorised by the main market sectors (and their function); the market for land (development), for space (occupation) and for money (investment). The economic context is set and the author then explains why property valuations are required and discusses the main determinants of value and how they might be identified. The mathematics required to financially quantify value determinants are also introduced. Part B of the book describes the methods of valuation; Part C applies these methods to the valuation of a range of property types for a wide variety of purposes; and Part D covers investment and development appraisal. The author introduces valuation activities from a broad economic perspective, setting valuation in its business finance context and combining its academic and practical roots. Understanding African Real Estate Markets written by Aly Karam and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-04-28 with Architecture categories.
This book brings together a broad range of research that interrogates how real estate market analysis, finance, planning, and investment for residential and commercial developments across the African continent are undertaken. In the past two decades, African real estate markets have rapidly matured, creating the conditions for new investment opportunities which has increased the demand for a deeper understanding of the commercial and residential markets across the continent. The chapters consider issues that pertain to formal real estate markets and the critical relationship between formal and informal property markets on the continent. With contributing authors from South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, the book considers the achievements of African real estate markets while also highlighting the complex central themes such as underdeveloped land tenure arrangements, the availability of finance in both the commercial and residential sectors, rapidly growing urban areas, and inadequate professional skills. This book is essential reading for students in real estate, land management, planning, finance, development, and economics programs who need to understand the nuances of markets in the African context. Investors and policy makers will learn a lot reading this book too.
