Constituționalul decide să înceteze publicarea în martie 1853. Alexandre Dumas întrerupe redactarea, până la zile mai bune. În afară de câteva ediții parțiale, a fost uitată până când au apărut două ediții complete, în 2005, 2006 și aceasta. * În 1469, un pelerin misterios, aparent invulnerabil, a intrat la Roma pe Calea Appiană. Primit de Papa Paul al II-lea , este recunoscut drept evreul rătăcitor, condamnat să călătorească în veșnicie pentru că l-a insultat pe Hristos, când a trecut în mijlocul mulțimii pe Calea Crucii, în timpul Patimii. Pedeapsa lui trebuie să se încheie atunci când Hristos Mântuitorul rostește următoarele cuvinte ale mântuirii sale: "Stai jos și încetează să mergi!"
