Maria era una semplicissima ragazza nazaretana e, come tale, era innamorata di un giovanotto con il quale intendeva avere figli. Con l’apparizione dell’Angelo lei si adeguò a quanto annunciatole e la sua vita cambiò del tutto, nel rispetto assoluto del suo fidanzato Yoséf per il quale, in seguito all’apparizione, Lei diventò la nuova Arca dell’Alleanza. Maria fu la vera Madre di Gesù e come tale fu sempre presente e attiva anche nella Chiesa nascente, nella quale le donne erano molto attive. Maria, nella sua presenza attiva nella comunità nascente di Gerusalemme, si fece promotrice di quella che sarebbe diventata la domenica e dell’istituzione della Pasqua cristiana e della Pentecoste. Fu molto attiva anche per dare importanza all’Eucarestia. Quanto all’impostazione narrativa di questo libro, è importante riportare quanto dichiarato da Giacomo, il primo vescovo di Gerusalemme: “[…] Chi è interessato solo a Miryàm e approfondisce la conoscenza della realtà sociale e religiosa del suo tempo che è il nostro, può senz’altro scrivere della sua vita reale […]”. La realtà sociale e religiosa di Maria, l’autore di questo libro la documenta nelle 409 note illustrative e documentarie del libro, nelle quali sono evidenziate la sapienza e la conseguente credibilità di Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger, lo stimato e amato Papa Emerito ex Benedetto XVI, e del Card. Gianfranco Ravasi. Perciò, se la bellezza è frutto della fantasia dell’autore, la verosimiglianza di questo libro è merito dei due citati gioielli culturali della Chiesa Cattolica. Il card. Ravasi, eminente anche culturalmente, nel suo libro “Maria, la Madre di Gesù”, come evidenziato nel libro, ricorda che “la verginità di Maria non esclude che tra i due sposi ci sia stato il filo delicato della tenerezza, dell’unione intensa dei cuori. Maria è il modello della verginità cristiana, celebrata da Paolo come totale donazione a Dio (1Corinzi 7,29-35), ma è anche con Giuseppe e Gesù l’emblema delle virtù familiari, dell’affetto profondo, della comunione di persone che insieme costruiscono la storia dell’uomo”. In questo libro, facendo presente il filo delicato della tenerezza, sono immaginate molte tenere effusioni affettive tra i due coniugi e tra loro e il loro bambino. L’affetto, infatti, fa parte delle virtù familiari, ma bisogna dimostrarlo non solo con i gesti, ma con lo stile della vita famigliare. I tre protagonisti principali di questo libro, infatti, lo dimostrano anche nei momenti più terribili.
