This book shows sixty-two stories plus of events that occurred during the forty years of being a nurse. Some of the stories can be happy and funny events, while others can be sad and heart-breaking. The stories started to occur to a young man who went into nursing during the Vietnam War in 1967, and these ended in 2008. It talks about so many people suffering and dying and the employees who opened up their hearts to comfort the patients and their families. Many cried with them in the final hours of life. I was a nurse and hospital supervisor for a total of forty years. And I often cried with the patients, their families, and the staff. I was glad to be able to be there to support all of them who needed my support. However, it left me scared for life. Every time I see a happy movie or sad movie with a happy ending, I find myself crying. I became a crying man when I left nursing. My heart goes out to all who are still supporting the very critical and dying patients. God bless them all.

In 2007, the Center for Automation in Nanobiotech (CAN) outlined the hardware and software platform that would one day allow robots smaller than human cells to make medical diagnoses, conduct repairs, and even self-propagate. In the same year, the CBS network re-aired a program about the effects of propranolol on sufferers of extreme trauma. A simple pill, it had been discovered, could wipe out the memory of any traumatic event. At almost the same moment in humanity's broad history, mankind had discovered the means for bringing about its utter downfall. And the ability to forget it ever happened. This is the sequel to the New York Times best-selling Wool series.

The goop hormone authority offers an empowering new approach to taking charge of hormone shifts through every stage of life—especially menopause. When hormonal highs, lows, twists, and turns feel overwhelming, Dr. Tasneem Bhatia can offer a road map—and a whole new perspective. As an MD with an East-meets-West approach to women’s health, Dr. Tasneem (known as Dr. Taz) combines the wisdom of Eastern modalities like Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine with modern medical treatments for whole body wellness. To Dr. Taz, menopause is not an “ending”; a woman’s entire life is a spectrum of ever-shifting hormones, and menopause is just one point along that spectrum. And hormone levels are a fluid continuum that you have a lot of control over: through your diet, how you sleep, how you manage stress, and more. In The Hormone Shift, Dr. Taz breaks down exactly what is happening behind the scenes in a woman’s body throughout her life and how almost every aspect of health is connected to hormones—from metabolism to mental health. She explains how to prepare for whatever is coming next, and offers a customizable Thirty-Day Hormone Reset plan that uses a combination of Eastern and Western healing modalities to keep the body in balance and deliver a targeted strategy for minimizing unwanted symptoms at every stage.

Tears For Tarshiha written by Olfat Mahmoud and has been published by Wild Dingo Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-08-01 with Biography & Autobiography categories.

A Palestinian refugee’s inspiring tale of her lifelong fight to return home. Olfat Mahmoud is a Palestinian refugee – a descendant of the Christian and Muslim people who fled Palestine in the period leading up to and after the founding of the state of Israel in 1948. She is an accomplished woman in her own right: the director of an international NGO, an internationally recognised peace activist, a registered nurse and, most recently, the recipient of a doctorate. Born in a refugee camp in Lebanon more than 60 years ago, Olfat’s determination to help her people in their fight to return to their homeland led to a nursing career that has placed her at the front line of atrocious massacres and wars in the Middle East. Tears for Tarshiha follows Olfat’s career amid the death and destruction of Lebanon’s many conflicts, and chronicles the Palestinian people’s remarkable capacity for love and bravery in the most extreme conditions. Olfat’s extraordinary story is emblematic of the Palestinian plight, illustrating their continued survival and determination that has become an inconvenience to the international community. These are the descendants of those Palestinians who were forced from their homeland at gunpoint by the Israeli military in 1948 in what is known as the Nakba – or Catastrophe. In 1949, David Ben-Gurion, one of the founders and the first prime minister of Israel, stated that ‘we must do everything to ensure [the Palestinians] never do return...the old will die and the young will forget’. Despite Olfat’s parents and grandparents never seeing Tarshiha again, this book is part of Olfat’s ongoing campaign to keep her people’s predicament in the public consciousness.

10 04 written by Ben Lerner and has been published by Granta Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-09-04 with Fiction categories.

In the past year, the narrator of 10:04 has enjoyed unexpected literary success, been diagnosed with a potentially fatal heart condition, and been asked by his best friend to help her conceive a child. Now, in a New York of increasingly frequent superstorms and political unrest, he must reckon with his biological mortality, the possibility of a literary afterlife, and the prospect of (unconventional) fatherhood in a city that might soon be under water. In prose that Jonathan Franzen has called 'hilarious... cracklingly intelligent... and original in every sentence', Lerner's new novel charts an exhilarating course through the contemporary landscape of sex, friendship, memory, art and politics, and captures what it is like to be alive right now.
