IF YOU BELIEVE THAT: Being your own boss can be a great career choice Success is what you decide it is Doing what you have a passion and talent for can be very profitable Monetary risk, hard work, and new ideas should be financially rewarded Understanding the business basics every successful owner focuses on—and in what order—would be beneficial Success works for you only after you’ve worked for it Marketplace battles are won before they are played Knowing what owning a business is really like would make ownership success a lot easier Change can create great opportunities Knowing when to exit a business is as important a life and business decision as becoming an entrepreneur in the first place THEN THE FACTS OF BUSINESS LIFE IS FOR YOU! Written by a successful business owner with four decades of experience, The Facts of Business Life is full of real-world concepts that owners must use and embrace if they want to become and stay successful. This multiple award-winning book has been endorsed by some of America’s top business leaders, like Steve Forbes and Ken Fisher, and has been recognized as “one of the best five business books of the year” and “a must read for entrepreneurs or those wanting to be one.” McBean begins with clear explanations and real-life examples of the seven Facts of Business Life that every successful business owner knows and executes consistently, including exactly what they are as well as how and when to use them. He then goes on to show how those facts impact on the five levels every successful business passes through, from “Ownership and Opportunity” to “Moving On When It’s Time to Go,” explaining that while the facts themselves remain the same, as a business becomes successful and moves through its life cycle, the way they are applied must change to fit changing circumstances. But there are even more reasons why this breakthrough business book is a must read, including: Its principles are based on the author’s own experience in starting and running successful businesses in a variety of industries. It shows that the most successful businesspeople create profitable opportunities rather than wait for them to present themselves. It enables readers to analyze the likelihood of their own success based on the characteristics most successful owners have. It reveals the #1 priority for all owners and their employees, and why every owner needs to continually focus on it (Hint: it’s not being profitable). It emphasizes that becoming successful is no guarantee that success will last, and that success itself can be a trap that eventually leads to failure. It shows that a business’s culture isn’t just a mission statement but also the processes created to operate the business and the employees who implement them. It discusses the steps that must be taken even before a business is started to increase the odds of its becoming a lasting success. It covers every step in a business’ life cycle, including the last one, showing that the best time to exit a business is when you don’t have to, and that unless you pick that time, someone else will. MANY BUSINESS BOOKS INCREASE THEIR READERS’ KNOWLEDGE—THE FACTS OF BUSINESS LIFE NOT ONLY INCREASES THAT KNOWLEDGE, IT SHOWS YOU HOW TO TURN IT INTO PROFITS.

It S All About The Guest written by Steve Difillippo and has been published by Rowman & Littlefield this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-10-15 with Business & Economics categories.

When’s the last time you picked up a business book that was so engaging you couldn’t put it down? Steve Difillippo was only 24 when he opened his first Davio’s restaurant. Since then, he’s wowed Julia Child with his pomodoro, overlooked some triple-X rated shenanigans at Table 7, taken on American Express, gotten himself into Time and Newsweek (for taking on American Express), cooked a rabbit for Stevie Ray Vaughn, inadvertently gotten a guest divorced, whipped up some tasty eats at the Super Bowl--and that’s just the beginning. The money hasn’t been bad, either: that first restaurant is now the hub of a rapidly growing $50 million restaurant brand group and a $10 million Davio’s brand food line. With guests constantly asking how he did it, Steve has written the ultimate guide to starting a restaurant, running a successful business, enjoying food, and living life. The 5.9 million restaurant workers who say they want to open their own restaurant will go nuts over this book, but so will anybody who loves food and the restaurant world--heck, anybody who wants to make money and have a blast doing it. As a special bonus, Steve includes twelve classic Davio’s recipes.

Bruce Turkel, who has advised some of the world's greatest companies, including American Express and Bacardi, lays the groundwork by relating his personal journey of discovery to the "All about Them" principle. He goes on to explore our technology-driven, hyper- connected culture; the power of storytelling (and story-selling); brand authenticity and transparency; and more.

All Business Is Local written by John Quelch and has been published by Penguin UK this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-02-23 with Business & Economics categories.

What's the most important factor in business today? Global competition? Digital development? Or is the age-old concept of 'place' actually the key to success even in todays advanced economy? Marketing experts John Quelch and Katherine Jocz believe that huge opportunities are on offer to marketers and business leaders if they stay focussed on the power of locality. In All Business Is Local, they propose a radically different way of looking at marketing. As society becomes increasingly globalized and obsessed with the virtual world, businesses can easily forget that 'place' is more relevant than ever, and that it remains a major factor in the way we organize our lives. Radically redefining 'place' as a business imperative in the global economy, Quelch and Jocz explore five categories (psychological, physical, virtual, geographical and global) and teach us that just as customers' relationships to places profoundly affect their relationships to businesses, today's companies - large and small - have to be local as well as global in order to succeed.

Only Tim would learn a major business lesson from having his daddy try to electrocute him. If it ain't fun, don't do it. By that advice, you should read this book. It's an entrepreneur's gold mine nestled in a silly foam container." --Jerry Newman, author of My Secret Life on the McJob

Lee Edward Atterbury was born September 1, 1924, into the Atturbury Circus family. He was the fifth of seven children born to Robert L. and Rose Atterbury. By the time Lee was old enough for school, his older siblings were accomplished aerialists and his mother was a slack wire walker. The Atterbury Circus was a road circus, traveling the highways of rural America from Iowa and the Dakotas to Texas throughout the years of the Great Depression. After the United States entered World War II, Lee served in the Army Air Force as a radioman and gunner, first in Africa and Italy, and then in the South Pacific. When the war ended, Lee returned home to find that the economics of war and the Great Depression had ended the small road circuses. Lee and his siblings began again by building carnival shows and games and went back on the road. "You'll never get anywhere in life without taking some risks," says Lee. Lee married Helen Wise of Conway Springs, Kansas, in 1949, and together they set out on the carnival circuit. Over the next seventy years, the Lee Atterbury family built a wonderful legacy of honesty and integrity with their games throughout the Midwest United States. They are loved by "carnies" and "marks" alike. People who played their games as children now return with their children and grandchildren to visit the Atterburys on the Midway. This memoir is a tribute to a true gentleman of America's greatest generation. Lee, I am so glad that I got to hear and record your stories. With grateful affection,
