La figura central de este libro es Dios y sus bendiciones. El me ha dado victoria y un manto de alabanza (vease Isaias 61:3). Es mi deseo compartir algunas de las muchas bendiciones especiales que he experimentado en mi caminata con Dios. A traves de esta caminata descubri, como usted tambien descubrira, que, aunque somos fragiles y debiles, El nos da la fuerza y el entendimiento para morar en El. Filipenses 4:13, Pablo dice: "Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece". Somos victoriosos porque El nos conoce por nombre y es consciente de las luchas de nuestra vida. Un grito de victoria y un manto de alabanza comenzo con un grito de desesperacion y un manto de dolor en 1972. Si, Dios escucho esa oracion y cambio mi vida amandome, guiandome y perdonandome mientras me proporcionaba todo lo que necesitaba para convertirme en el recipiente que hoy dia soy. Fueron necesarios muchos anos de crecimiento espiritual para convertir esa oracion de desesperacion en una oracion de victoria y un manto de alabanza. Este es mi asombroso testimonio de como aprendi a confiar y depender de Dios. Me llevo a traves de muchos obstaculos de rechazo, enfermedades y tristezas a una vida de bendicion. El me hizo una vencedora. Hoy mas que nunca, creo en Lucas 1:37: "Porque para Dios nada es imposible". Continuo creyendo en el proposito de Dios para mi vida. Comparto muchas victorias personales para que usted (el lector), se anime y permita que Dios haga lo mismo por usted. Porque a pesar de todo, El nunca me fallo. Hebreos 13: 5 declara que: "Nunca te dejare ni te desamparare", (KJB). Dios siempre estara presente para ti. Todo lo que El pide es que seas fiel y estes dispuesto a seguirlo. Todos mis logros se han debido a su provision, amor, misericordia, gracia, paciencia y perdon. Quiero declararte que !Dios te ama! El nunca te abandonara. !Confia en El y tendras tu victoria!

Fortalitium fidei is one of the central texts in the controversy surrounding the religious and social status of conversos in fifteenth-century Castile. This monograph provides a close analysis of the text itself and contextualizes this study through comparison with pro-converso texts and with reference to Alonso de Espina's career as an Observant Franciscan. After an outline of the development of the converso problem, it offers a biography of Espina and a discussion of the context of production of Fortalitium fidei. There is then a discussion of three works of theology in defence of conversos: Alonso de Cartagena's Defensorium unitatis christianae, Juan de Torquemada's Tractatus contra madianitas et ismaelitas, and Alonso de Oropesa's Lumen ad revelationem gentium. The rest of the work is detailed reading of Fortalitium fidei, with chapters on the image of the fortress, the treatment of Jews and Judaism, and of conversos. This volume addresses the extent and nature of the debate about conversos, the development of models of genealogical exclusion, and the role of Espina and his text in the ending of religious plurality in Spain.
