Joseph Knight, son of Newel Knight and Lydia Goldthwait, was born in Nauvoo, Illinois, on 18 Oct 1840. He married Jane Lucinda Judd, daughter of Hyrum Judd and Lisania Fuller, in Santa Clara, Washington County, Utah. The marriage date was not recorded. They had nine children. Their descendants have lived in Utah, Arizona, California and other areas in the United States.
