Anschließend wird, um einen grundlegenden Überblick über das Thema zu vermitteln, die rechtliche Grundlage sowie die Verfügbarkeit und Verbreitung von Onlinepornografie dargestellt. Des Weiteren wird auf die Zahlen und Geschlechterdifferenzen der Rezipient*innen von Pornografie genauer eingegangen. Mit diesem Schritt wird ein Überblick geschaffen, wie stark Pornografie in die Lebenswelt der Jugendlichen eingezogen ist. Im nächsten Schritt folgt die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Pornografiekonsum im Jugendalter. Dabei werden zuerst die Motive der Jugendlichen zur Nutzung von Pornografie gesammelt, um verständlich zu machen, warum pornografische Inhalte im Jugendalter von Interesse und Bedeutung sein können. Im Anschluss wird die Frage, ob Pornografiekonsum Auswirkungen auf Jugendliche hat, betrachtet. Dabei werden die möglichen Auswirkungen des Pornografiekonsums aus verschiedenen Quellen erarbeitet und diskutiert.

„Generation Porno“ - durch die leichte Zugänglichkeit zu harter Pornografie ist dieser einschlägige Begriff für Jugendliche des Jahres 2016 bereits etabliert. Dabei liegt in Österreich bisher keine einzige repräsentative Studie zum Pornokonsum bei Jugendlichen und seinen Auswirkungen vor. Die Arbeit widmet sich daher dem Themenkomplex Pornografie und Sexualempfinden von Jugendlichen. Die Untersuchung gliedert sich in drei wesentliche Teile. Diese Fragen will die nachfolgende Arbeit erörtern. Dabei richtet sich die Bearbeitung an folgender Vorgehensweise: Im zweiten Kapitel wird anhand der Unterkapitel themeneinführend beschrieben, welchen gesetzlichen Regelungen Pornografie unterliegt (Kap. 2.1) und wie Jugendliche dennoch mit Hilfe der Medien Zugriff auf pornografische Inhalte erlangen können (Kap. 2.2). Darauf aufbauend erfolgt der Hauptteil der Arbeit. Hier wird genauer auf die Verwendung von Pornografie von Jugendlichen eingegangen (Kap 3.1) und darüber hinaus die Folgen der Verwendung im Jugendalter beleuchtet. Die Hausarbeit wird durch ein resümierendes Fazit abgeschlossen, dessen Inhalt noch einmal die zu Beginn formulierte Forschungsfrage versucht eindeutig zu beantworten. Aufgrund des datierten Umfang dieser Arbeit sowie der sehr begrenzten wissenschaftlichen Studien in Deutschland zum Thema, wird diese lediglich einen Ausschnitt des Themas „Wirkung von Pornografie auf Jugendliche und deren sexuelle Entwicklung“ behandeln können.
