This book was written to help others and to show there is a light at the end of a long, dark tunnel. There was little information when I desperately needed help. I decided to tell my story, so victims and their loved ones need to know they are not alone. It is imperative they get help soon. If this is not possible, it can be beneficial just being encouraged to talk to someone in a safe environment. Child sexual abuse affects the lives of the victims. It also breaks families up. Lies and deceit can manipulate the system. On reflection, it was better to turn a negative into a positive, this was not always achievable when that person was in a bad place. Family, friends etc., find it hard to believe and the stigma of mental health is always there. My life has evolved around looking after my two children. My world was turned upside down the day our two adult daughters disclosed child sexual abuse. Fortunately, I was able to support them when the trauma was buried deep in their subconscious and their behavior presented itself in an irrational manner ie: self-harm, suicidal thoughts and I endlessly witnessed horrific, psychotic flashbacks. Parents/guardians need to read 'Justified Anger' to understand how the closest person could also be the perpetrator. A child's feelings and emotions need to be heard, allow them to feel safe to divulge their deepest secret. I tried many times to complete my career. Thoroughly enjoyed being a nursing assistant, it was such a rewarding job, especially on the mental health wards. Years later, I am happy with my dogs and my two ponies and a rescued donkey. I am close to a wonderful livery yard and have made many friends. Eating out at a different cuisine is one of my pleasures.

Aristotle Emotions And Education written by Kristján Kristjánsson and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-04-15 with Philosophy categories.

What can Aristotle teach us that is relevant to contemporary moral and educational concerns? What can we learn from him about the nature of moral development, the justifiability and educability of emotions, the possibility of friendship between parents and their children, or the fundamental aims of teaching? The message of this book is that Aristotle has much to teach us about those issues and many others. In a formidable display of boundary-breaking scholarship, drawing upon the domains of philosophy, education and psychology, Kristján Kristjánsson analyses and dispels myriad misconceptions about Aristotle’s views on morality, emotions and education that abound in the current literature - including the claims of the emotional intelligence theorists that they have revitalised Aristotle’s message for the present day. The book proceeds by enlightening and astute forays into areas covered by Aristotle’s canonical works, while simultaneously gauging their pertinence for recent trends in moral education. This is an arresting book on how to balance the demands of head and heart: a book that deepens the contemporary discourse on emotion cultivation and virtuous living and one that will excite any student of moral education, whether academic or practitioner.

This book is about liberal legislators and presidents in Washington, D. C. destroying our Constitutional Republic, and what we citizens must do to stop them. Our Founding Fathers gave us the most profound and amazing governmental system in history, a form of government based on the Constitution and Bill of Rights. They laid the foundation for what might be possible in a free society. William Gladstone, four-time Prime Minister of England, said of the Constitution, ..".it is the most wonderful work ever struck off at a given time by the brain and purpose of man." Liberal politicians think they know a better way, and have proceeded to disregard the Constitution, the free market system and their responsibility to provide an environment in which people are empowered to stand on their own two feet, receiving their rewards based on what they accomplish in their lives. Rather, they have convinced millions of people to believe the lie that the best in life for them is to become wards of the State and receive the monthly "gov'ment" check. The development of the welfare state is the result, and this cannot exist alongside a Constitutional Republic. A welfare state degrades people by convincing them they are incapable of caring for themselves. A Constitutional Republic provides every citizen with freedom to be responsible for themselves by developing and using the potential our Maker placed within them during the creation process. Liberal legislators have considered themselves to be the the "do-good-ers" by helping the poor. In reality, they have been the "do-badders." In the process, they have brought our nation to its knees. In the last election, we elected a man to our highest office who has no intention of following the Constitution, and he has a deep need or lust for determination of what this nation will become. Can what they have done be corrected? Yes, it can, but restoration of a Constitutional Republic will demand the best that real Americans have within them. We are the ones who will put our nation back on the road that leads to Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness for all who are wiling to earn it.

Social Ontology And Modern Economics written by Stephen Pratten and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-09-25 with Business & Economics categories.

Economists increasingly recognise that engagement with social ontology – the study of the basic subject matter and constitution of social reality - can facilitate more relevant analysis. This growing recognition amongst economists of the importance of social ontology is due very considerably to the work of members of the Cambridge Social Ontology Group. This volume brings together important papers by members of this group, some previously unpublished, in a collection that reveals the breadth and vitality of this Cambridge project. It provides a brilliant introduction to the central themes explored, perspectives sustained, insights achieved and how the project is moving forward. An initial set of papers examine how ontology is understood and justified within this Cambridge project and consider how it compares with prominent historical and contemporary alternatives. The majority of the included papers involve social ontological analysis being put to work directly in underlabouring for specific types of development in economics. The papers are grouped according to their contribution to clarifying and developing (i) various competing traditions and projects of modern economics, (ii) history of thought contributions, (iii) methodological concerns, (iv) ethics and (v) conceptions of particular aspects of social reality, including money, gender, technology and institutions. Background to and a brief history of the Cambridge group is provided in the Introduction. Social Ontology and Modern Economics will be of interest not only to economists but also philosophers of social science, social theorists and those eager to explore the nature of gender, social institutions and technology.

The Hazards Of Great Leadership written by James K. Beggan and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-05-11 with Business & Economics categories.

The value of great leaders seems to be an unquestioned assumption. The goal of this Element is to explore the counterintuitive idea that great leaders can pose a hazard to themselves and their followers. Great leadership, which accomplishes morally commendable and difficult objectives by leaders and followers, requires competence, morality, and charisma. A hazard is a condition or event that leads to human loss, such as injury, death, or economic misfortune. A leader can become a hazard through social psychological processes, which operate through the metaphor of Seven Deadly Sins, to create negative consequences. Great leaders can undermine their own success and accomplishments, as well as their followers. They can become a threat to the organization in which they are employed. Finally, great leaders can become a danger to the larger society. The damage great leaders can create can be reduced by applying the corresponding virtue.
