Later called Azad Kashmiris, these people, Snedden argues, are legitimate stakeholders in an unresolved dispute. Azad Jammu and Kashmir (also known as "Free Kashmir") is the southernmost political entity within the Pakistani-administered part of the former princely state of Jammu and Kashmir.
