The purpose of this memoir is twofold: to extend the notions of kernel and integral operator to the context of continuous sums of Banach spaces; and to extend to this setting, certain well-known conditions for an integral operator to be compact, Hilbert-Schmidt and trace-class.

Dominated Operators written by A.G. Kusraev and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-03-09 with Mathematics categories.

The notion of a dominated or rnajorized operator rests on a simple idea that goes as far back as the Cauchy method of majorants. Loosely speaking, the idea can be expressed as follows. If an operator (equation) under study is dominated by another operator (equation), called a dominant or majorant, then the properties of the latter have a substantial influence on the properties of the former . Thus, operators or equations that have "nice" dominants must possess "nice" properties. In other words, an operator with a somehow qualified dominant must be qualified itself. Mathematical tools, putting the idea of domination into a natural and complete form, were suggested by L. V. Kantorovich in 1935-36. He introduced the funda mental notion of a vector space normed by elements of a vector lattice and that of a linear operator between such spaces which is dominated by a positive linear or monotone sublinear operator. He also applied these notions to solving functional equations. In the succeedingyears many authors studied various particular cases of lattice normed spaces and different classes of dominated operators. However, research was performed within and in the spirit of the theory of vector and normed lattices. So, it is not an exaggeration to say that dominated operators, as independent objects of investigation, were beyond the reach of specialists for half a century. As a consequence, the most important structural properties and some interesting applications of dominated operators have become available since recently.

Regularised Integrals Sums And Traces written by Sylvie Paycha and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012 with Mathematics categories.

``Regularization techniques'' is the common name for a variety of methods used to make sense of divergent series, divergent integrals, or traces of linear operators in infinite-dimensional spaces. Such methods are often indispensable in problems of number theory, geometry, quantum field theory, and other areas of mathematics and theoretical physics. However arbitrary and noncanonical they might seem at first glance, regularized sums, integrals, and traces often contain canonical concepts, and the main purpose of this book is to illustrate and explain this. This book provides a unified and self-contained mathematical treatment of various regularization techniques. The author shows how to derive regularized sums, integrals, and traces from certain canonical building blocks of the original divergent object. In the process of putting together these ``building blocks'', one encounters many problems and ambiguities caused by various so-called anomalies, which are investigated and explained in detail. Nevertheless, it turns out that the corresponding canonical sums, integrals, sums, and traces are well behaved, thus making the regularization procedure possible and manageable. This new unified outlook on regularization techniques in various fields of mathematics and in quantum field theory can serve as an introduction for anyone from a beginning mathematician interested in the subject to an experienced physicist who wants to gain a unified outlook on techniques he/she uses on a daily basis.

Differentiable Operators And Nonlinear Equations written by Victor Khatskevich and has been published by Birkhäuser this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Mathematics categories.

The need to study holomorphic mappings in infinite dimensional spaces, in all likelihood, arose for the first time in connection with the development of nonlinear analysis. A systematic study of integral equations with an analytic nonlinear part was started at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries by A. Liapunov, E. Schmidt, A. Nekrasov and others. Their research work was directed towards the theory of nonlinear waves and used mainly the undetermined coefficients and the majorant power series methods, which subsequently have been refined and developed. Parallel with these achievements, the theory of functions of one or several complex variables was gradually enriched with more significant and subtle results. The present book is a first step towards establishing a bridge between nonlinear analysis, nonlinear operator equations and the theory of holomorphic mappings on Banach spaces. The work concludes with a brief exposition of the theory of spaces with indefinite metrics, and some relevant applications of the holomorphic mappings theory in this setting. In order to make this book accessible not only to specialists but also to students and engineers, the authors give a complete account of definitions and proofs, and also present relevant prerequisites from functional analysis and topology. Contents: Preliminaries • Differential calculus in normed spaces • Integration in normed spaces • Holomorphic (analytic) operators and vector-functions on complex Banach spaces • Linear operators • Nonlinear equations with differentiable operators • Nonlinear equations with holomorphic operators • Banach manifolds • Non-regular solutions of nonlinear equations • Operators on spaces with indefinite metric • References • List of Symbols • Subject Index.
