Research in the roots of evangelicalism and revivalism uncovers its share of peculiarities, but nothing is more unusual than what follows. What we have here is a compelling story touching on the exercise of free religion, the religious wars in Europe, the roots of Evangelicalism, the supernatural, and more, all wrapped up in a religious revival which began not through a charismatic revivalist or any adult at all, but rather found it's origin with children aged four to fourteen. The children became pawns in a controversy between political and religious opponents. Indulge your curiosity and read the remarkable story about the King of Sweden and the 1707-08 Children's Revival in Silesia, a tale of hope and prayer.

The Pietist Impulse In Christianity written by G William Carlson and has been published by James Clarke & Company this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-10-25 with Religion categories.

Pietism is a reform movement originating among German Lutherans in the 17th century. It focused on personal faith, reacting against Lutheran Church's emphasis on doctrine and theology over Christian living. The movement quickly expanded, exerting anenormous influence on various forms of Christianity, and became concerned with social and educational matters. Indeed, Piestists showed a strong interest in issues of social and ecclesial reform, the nature of history and historical inquiry, the shape and purpose of theology and theological education, the missional task of the church, and social justice and political engagement. Though, the movement remained largely misunderstood, especially in Anglo-American contexts: negative stereotypes depicted Pietism as a quietist and sectarian form of religion, merely concerned with the 'pious soul and its God'. The main proposal of the editors of this volume is to correct this misunderstanding: assembling a deep collection of essays written by scholars from a variety of fields, this work demonstrates that Piestism was a movement characterized by great depth and originality. Besides, they show the vitality and impulse of Pietism today and emphasize the ongoing relevance of the movement for contemporary problems and questions.

A Theology Of Cross And Kingdom written by D. K. Matthews and has been published by Wipf and Stock Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-11-19 with Religion categories.

Luther's theology of the cross has impacted major theologians and centuries of theology, including the present, and yet it is weakened by its reactionary theological determinism, reductionism, and understandable failure to properly integrate fluid, melioristic, and pro-creation kingdom eschatology. N. T. Wright's revolutionary cross, articulated in The Day the Revolution Began: Reconsidering the Meaning of Jesus's Crucifixion, is a brilliant and clarion new creation eschatological call to action that suffers from a somewhat cryptic, imprecise, and unrefined eschatology. Heino O. Kadai has presented an authoritative and concise rendering of Luther's key insights. Rustin Brian has carefully assessed whether Luther's theology of the cross deserves blame for the Deus absconditus of modernity in his Barthian influenced Covering Up Luther. Robert Cady Saler has masterfully articulated a relevant and pastoral Theologia Crucis framed by Moltmann's Theology of Hope that is most applicable to the contemporary church and sociopolitical engagement. A Theology of Cross and Kingdom sympathetically and creatively critiques and synthesizes dominant themes in such classical and contemporary theologies of the cross within a unified cross and kingdom eschatology. Matthews deftly overcomes many of the less than helpful disjunctive approaches to the theology of the cross while proffering a way forward for this most influential and core theological treasure of the church.

Mother Earth is calling for help, but her children are not listening. The four horsemen of apocalypse are fast approaching, created and driven by our actions and greed. As we think we understand all now when we can wield the four elements: water, earth, air and fire. We have lost the balance of order and chaos, as we have forgotten once again the important intangible elements: harmony, symphony, serenity and love. With four can glory can be shown and with the other four passion achieved, when combined all the peace is found and truth can be discovered. All great civilizations on earth have ended for the same reason, so will the current one, but never so far has there been a global civilization before this one. Our egoism and dualistic thinking will open the path to apocalypse and it will start on December 21, 2012 if we do not stop it! The first question is: to be or not to be? the second is: to do or not to do? the third is: to believe or not to believe? - Chimie In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act. - George Orwell Is this the One Male Nostradamus prophecies? Is this the Book of Life? - Somebody From the three water signs will be born a man who will celebrate Thursday as his holiday. His renown, praise, rule and power will grow on land and sea, bringing trouble to the East. - - Nostradamus - -
