Kinetic Control In Synthesis And Self Assembly written by Munenori Numata and has been published by Academic Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-11-23 with Science categories.

Kinetic Control in Synthesis and Self-Assembly provides a unique overview of the fundamental principles, novel methods and practical applications for researchers across organic synthesis, supramolecular chemistry and materials sciences. The book examines naturally occurring molecular systems in which kinetic processes are more ubiquitous than thermodynamic processes, also exploring the control of reactions and molecular self-assemblies, through kinetic processes, in artificial systems. These methods currently play a crucial role for tuning materials functions. From organic synthesis, to supramolecular assemblies, and from restricted spaces, to material synthesis for hierarchical structures, the book offers valuable coverage for researchers across disciplines. Interesting topics include how to regulate kinetic pathways more precisely, essential molecular design for kinetic traps, and how molecular environments surrounding molecules (i.e., solvent, temperature, and pressure effects) influence kinetic control in reactions and self-assemblies. Describes the nature and potential applications of kinetic processes compared to thermodynamic processes Presents information useful to researchers active in molecular synthesis and self-assembly toward materials Collates coverage of kinetic control for synthesis and self-assembly, treated separately in literature

Nuclear Reactor Kinetics And Plant Control written by Yoshiaki Oka and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-03-01 with Technology & Engineering categories.

Understanding time-dependent behaviors of nuclear reactors and the methods of their control is essential to the operation and safety of nuclear power plants. This book provides graduate students, researchers, and engineers in nuclear engineering comprehensive information on both the fundamental theory of nuclear reactor kinetics and control and the state-of-the-art practice in actual plants, as well as the idea of how to bridge the two. The first part focuses on understanding fundamental nuclear kinetics. It introduces delayed neutrons, fission chain reactions, point kinetics theory, reactivity feedbacks, and related measurement techniques. The second part helps readers to grasp the theories and practice of nuclear power plant control. It introduces control theory, nuclear reactor stability, and the operation and control of existing nuclear power plants such as a typical pressurized water reactor, a typical boiling water reactor, the prototype fast breeder reactor Monju, and the high-temperature gas-cooled test reactor (HTTR). Wherever possible, the design and operation data for these plants are provided.

Nuclear Reactor Kinetics And Control written by Jeffery Lewins and has been published by Elsevier this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-10-22 with Technology & Engineering categories.

Nuclear Reactor Kinetics and Control highlights the application of classical control methods in the frequency space to the dynamic processes of a nuclear reactor. This book contains nine chapters and begins with an introduction to some important mathematical theories related to nuclear engineering, such as the Laplace and Fourier transforms, linear system stability, and the probability theory. The succeeding chapters deal with the frequency space of classical linear design. A chapter describes a stochastic model for the “lumped reactor and presents equations that measure the departure from the mean, as well as representative experiments or applications of the theory to neutron detection. The discussion then shifts to the aspects of reliability and its consequences for safety of nuclear reactors and some techniques for nonlinear studies centered on the use of the state space and its equations in the time domain. The final chapter introduces the modern electric analogue computer and derives the patching or programming rules that can be use to find solutions to problems of interest using the analogous behavior of electric circuits. This chapter also provide examples of intrinsic interest in nuclear engineering showing the programming involved and typical results, including the slower transients of xenon poisoning and fuel burn-up. This book is intended for nuclear engineers, physicists, applied mathematicians, and nuclear engineering undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Thermodynamics And Kinetics Of Drug Binding written by György Keserü and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-03-09 with Medical categories.

This practical reference for medicinal and pharmaceutical chemists combines the theoretical background with modern methods as well as applications from recent lead finding and optimization projects. Divided into two parts on the thermodynamics and kinetics of drug-receptor interaction, the text provides the conceptual and methodological basis for characterizing binding mechanisms for drugs and other bioactive molecules. It covers all currently used methods, from experimental approaches, such as ITC or SPR, right up to the latest computational methods. Case studies of real-life lead or drug development projects are also included so readers can apply the methods learned to their own projects. Finally, the benefits of a thorough binding mode analysis for any drug development project are summarized in an outlook chapter written by the editors.

Applications Of Kinetic Modelling written by G. Hancock and has been published by Elsevier this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1999-05-07 with Science categories.

Volume 37 is concerned with the use and role of modelling in chemical kinetics and seeks to show the interplay of theory or simulation with experiment in a diversity of physico-chemical areas in which kinetics measurements provide significant physical insight. Areas of application covered within the volume include electro- and interfacial chemistry, physiology, biochemistry, solid state chemistry and chemical engineering. A leading contributor to this general area has been Professor W. John Albery, FRS, to whom the contributors and editors dedicate this book.
