Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2000 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 1,0, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (Deutsches Seminar II), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit vertrete ich die neue These, dass Penthesileas Liebe im Verlauf der Dramenhandlung nicht immer die selbe ist, sondern verschiedene Formen annimmt. Sogar das simultane Auftreten einzelner Formen ist in meinen Augen möglich, worin unter anderem die Tiefe dieses Meisterstücks begründet ist. Die Simultaneität, welche Anthony Stephens in der Dramaturgie des Stückes ausmacht, sehe ich also auch im Auftreten verschiedener Formen der Liebe. Diese Formen sollen in ihrer Motivation dargestellt werden - das Phänomen der Gewaltliebe wird auf diese Weise ausdifferenziert. Abschließend sollen sie eine Verortung im Handlungsverlauferfahren, um Wandlungen und Übergänge deutlich werden zu lassen. Ich glaube, so die der Penthesilea eigene Konzeption der Gewaltliebe adäquat erfassen zu können. Dazu gehört zum einen der Wille, die Widersprüchlichkeit des Kleistschen Denkens zu akzeptieren und sich vor sinnentstellendem Geradebiegen zu hüten. Zum anderen der Anspruch, der Komplexität des Gegenstands gerecht zu werden, sowie die Fähigkeit, das zu können; denn der Gegenstand ist in der Tat äußerst vielschichtig. Während Wille und Anspruch vorhanden sind, wird sich die Fähigkeit erweisen müssen.
