I wanted to make a toque (or beanie) with my favourite owl motif for a while now. I finally got around to it and I have to say, it turned out better than I thought! The pattern uses worsted weight yarn and size 5 mm (size 8 US) single pointed knitting needles and a cable needle. If you don’t know how to do cable stitches, I’ve added scannable QR codes to videos to help you along. This knitting pattern is knit flat making it very easy to make. I indicate where to change the colours of yarn in the pattern so there isn’t any confusion. But please note, you can knit the beanie in one solid colour also. There’s no reason why you can’t. This toque is in adult sizes only!

For this version of my knitted fingerless gloves, I'm doing something different. Instead of starting at the cuff, I'm starting at the fingers and working down to the cuff. This isn't an overly complicated pattern. In fact, it only uses very basic stitches and is great if you are looking for something that is quick to make. Or, if you're a new knitter, looking for something slightly more challenging. As long as you know how to knit, purl and knit 2 stitches together, you'll be able to make these. This pattern is written to fit nearly all child sized feet. This particular pattern will fit a foot that is 4 inches (10 cm) up to 8 3/4 inches (22 cm) in length. That is a toddler size 1 up to a nearly adult size 5, in US sizing. Please note, this isn’t a pattern for beginners, but if you know how to knit a stitch, pick up stitches and knit two stitches together, you should be okay. I’ve added a TON of photos and a how-to video to help you along with any of the more confusing parts. And please take note, you use 2 (two) sets of single point needles to make this.
