Sound Doctrine for Today’s Christians addresses a multitude of today’s issues from a scriptural stand point. The author relies upon the scriptures to provide the commentary as chapter after chapter of Biblical clarity is given to provide sound doctrine for the reader. The end result is a forthright scriptural presentation in complete thoughts as referenced from the King James Version (exclusively) of the Bible. There are forty chapters presented that cover a gamut of topics from the reasons for reading the Bible to faith issues, differentiation of Christianity in terms of denominations and from other religions, personal life choices and the choices of a nation. Profound statement after statement is presented with the irrefutable clarity of the scriptural basis provided for each statement. This book provides a basis for Biblical doctrine examination and well as an awesome evangelistic thrust.

Time and history show that there comes a moment when God delivers a final message to His people, an ultimatum. We can see this very clearly in relation to the nation of Israel in the Old Testament and the Church in the New Testament. When the apostle Paul writes his first epistle to Timothy, he warns about the "Latter Times": "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith" (1 Timothy 4:1). This refers to the period after the apostolic era, from Timothy's days until the rapture. Later, Paul writes to Timothy again, this time addressing the "Last Days": "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come" (2 Timothy 3:1). These last days are those that precede the coming of the Lord Jesus, the days we are living in. In 1 Timothy, Paul shows how to maintain order in the local church during the latter times. In 2 Timothy, he advises us on how to maintain this order despite the disorder in professing Christendom. The apostle John, in his first epistle, speaks of the "Last Hour" (1 John 2:18), and Jude mentions the "Last Time" (Jude 1:18). These expressions indicate the abandonment of sound doctrine, as Paul warns: "...they will not endure sound doctrine, but... according to their own desires... they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables" (2 Timothy 4:3-4). This book aims to provide biblical support for the faith of the Christian, awakening faith and purpose in life, and alerting those who have not yet realized that the end is near. Preaching is a sublime and responsible task. The preacher must be an example of modesty, respect, and purity, speaking as a friend and avoiding a tone of superiority. Each sermon should strengthen the listeners' bond with Christ, with liveliness and confidence. Prayer is fundamental for an effective discourse, allowing the message to grow and renew itself. The preacher must be blameless, humble, and clear, avoiding the ostentation of knowledge. Preparing a sermon is a spiritual exercise, requiring careful study and meditation. This book is an additional resource for sermon preparation, born from intimate communion with God and dependence on the Holy Spirit. May each sermon touch hearts and draw listeners closer to Christ. May God bless your ministerial journey, using this book as an aid in the mission of preaching the Word with clarity, conviction, and spiritual power. The book is formatted as a devotional, covering various topics of the Christian faith.

During this time of mass deception running rampant, not only in the United States but also in the entire world, the Lord put it upon my heart to write this book, How Does Your Doctrine Sound? At the end of each chapter, I ask the question "How does your doctrine sound?" It may appear as a rhetorical question and can very well be categorized as such; however, I cannot overemphasize the importance of sound doctrine. With so many different Christian denominations in our nation and around the world, it makes the church seemingly divided. The Master Teacher told the apostle Peter that "on this rock I build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18 KJV). Notice that Jesus said church, not churches! The church is a living, breathing organism that was created by God to operate as one body. Doctrine (or teaching) is important to the followers of Christ. This book was written for every believer to look and listen to the doctrine of their church and see if it aligns itself with the doctrine the Bible teaches. Second Timothy 2:15 tells us, "Study to shew (show) yourselves approved to God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." The responsibility for every believer is to know the biblical truth for themselves. So how does your doctrine sound? Thank you for reading!

Seven Pillars Of Christianity written by Dr. William Ekane and has been published by Trafford Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-09-21 with Religion categories.

The revelations contained in the Bible serve as a supreme guide by which to measure all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions—and today’s Christians are in steady moral and spiritual decline. A 2010 survey by the Barna Research Group reveals that in American churches, Christians have become less knowledgeable about the Bible, less interested in spiritual disciplines, and more desirous of secular techniques to solve life’s problems, thus blurring the distinction between their conduct and that of nonbelievers. In Seven Pillars of Christianity: An Introduction to the Essential Christian Doctrines, Dr. William Ekane reveals the life-transforming foundations of the Christian faith and issues a clarion call for Christians to return to authentic Christianity. First presenting his compelling case for the scientific reliability and divine origin of the Bible, Dr. Ekane works closely with Scripture as he leads us through everything from the Lord Jesus Christ to trust and faith in the living God to, finally, the five major judgments and Revelation. These practical, strategic insights and essential truths are invaluable to new converts as well as mature believers. The Word of the Holy Spirit offers transformation, illuminating our hearts and minds as we strengthen our spiritual foundation and grow deeper in God.
