This book contributes to an improved understanding of knowledge-intensive business services and knowledge management issues. It offers a complex overview of literature devoted to these topics and introduces the concept of ‘knowledge flows’, which constitutes a missing link in the previous knowledge management theories. The book provides a detailed analysis of knowledge flows, with their types, relations and factors influencing them. It offers a novel approach to understand the aspects of knowledge and its management not only inside the organization, but also outside, in its environment.

This book aims to engage “Young Science – Talented & Ambitious” for a lasting collaboration to advance holistic mathematical modeling of “how the body works” in variant surroundings. The book sets road signs to mathematics in body’s vital, physical, and cognitive functions, as well as to factors of health impact in person’s environmental and social settings. It showcases selected current research in mathematical and biological theory, mathematical models at molecular, organism, and population levels as well as engineering, imaging, and data sciences methodologies, including bio-informatics and machine learning applications. For overarching theory, evaluation of surrogate structures with category theory, multi-scale whole-body dynamics by separation of functional organization from cellular material as well as mathematical axioms matching classic principles of philosophy in traditional Chinese medicine are introduced. Interested are systems-oriented researchers in all sciences related to human health who seek new profile-shaping challenges in transdisciplinary collaboration.

Artificial Intelligence In Design 02 written by Asko Riitahuhta and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2002-07-31 with Computers categories.
One of the foundations for change in our society comes from designing. Its genesis is the notion that the world around us either is unsuited to our needs or can be improved. The need for designing is driven by a society's view that it can improve or add value to human existence well beyond simple subsistence. As a consequence of designing the world which we inhabit is increasingly a designed rather than a naturally occurring one. In that sense it is an "artificial" world. Designing is a fundamental precursor to manufacturing, fabrication, construction or implementation. Design research aims to develop an understanding of designing and to produce models of designing that can be used to aid designing. Artificial intelligence has provided an environmental paradigm within which design research based on computational constructions, can be carried out. Design research can be carried out in variety of ways. It can be viewed as largely an empirical endeavour in which experiments are designed and executed in order to test some hypothesis about some design phenomenon or design behaviour. This is the approach adopted in cognitive science. It often manifests itself through the use of protocol studies of designers. The results of such research form the basis of a computational model. A second view is that design research can be carried out by positing axioms and then deriving consequences from them.

Applications Of Learning And Planning Methods written by Nikolas G Bourbakis and has been published by World Scientific this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1991-03-29 with Computers categories.
Learning and planning are two important topics of artificial intelligence. Learning deals with the algorithmic processes that make a computing machine able to “learn” and improve its performance during the process of complex tasks. Planning on the other hand, deals with decision and construction processes that make a machine capable of constructing an intelligent plan for the solution of a particular complex problem. This book combines both learning and planning methodologies and their applications in different domains. It is divided into two parts. The first part contains seven chapters on the ongoing research work in symbolic and connectionist learning. The second part includes seven chapters which provide the current research efforts in planning methodologies and their application to robotics.
