Bahwa para Nabi dan Rasul utusan Allah adalah sebuah kebenaran yang tak terbantahkan termasuk Nabi Muhammad SAW. yang dalam konteks al-Quran disebut sebagai uswatun hasanah, teladan, proto type bagi umatnya termasuk dalam konteks kepemimpinan dengan sifat Sidiq, amanah, tabligh dan fathanah yang melekat padanya. Tetapi dalam implementasi kepemimpinan, kita yang notabenenya umat Islam terkadang terjebak pada pola kepemimpinan yang kapitalis, hedonis, serba instant dengan tanpa 'menghadirkan Tuhan'. Sebagai seorang pemimpin, jangan menjadi orang yang 'rabun dekat’, kita ingin mengadopsi kepemimpinan dari berbagai tokoh, sementara dalam Islam sudah sangat jelas ada pada diri Nabi Muhammad SAW. Sehingga jika Nabi sebagai teladan, maka bisa diadaptasi walau tidak sesempurna apa yang dilakukan oleh Nabi misalnya ini dilakukan oleh khulafur Rasyidin dan juga Umar bin Abdul Aziz. Ilustrasi keagungan Nabi dalam berbagai aspek termasuk dalam kepemimpinannya bukan upaya untuk kembali ke zaman sahabat di masa lalu. Tetapi sebuah upaya untuk menengok khazanah Islam dengan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip hidup sesuai dengan esensi Islam dan mengkontekstualisasikannya di era modern. Maka ini sebuah upaya untuk kembali ke teks dan mendialogkan teks dengan realita sehingga esensi kebenaran teks sebagai pedoman sepanjang zaman semakin kuat resonansinya. Prinsip-prinsip Islam mampu berdiri tegak di bumi Allah dengan merangkul dan memberikan kemanfaatan serta rahmat pada seluruh umat. Di tengah sikap paradoks pemimpin kita yang terjebak pada pola hedonis, kapitasi, instant dan hanya memikirkan 'balik modal’ ketimbang memikirkan kesejahteraan yang dipimpinnya dalam konteks pendidikan, temuan ICW bahwa Kepala sekolah sudah menjadi bagian dari birokrasi yang lebih loyal kepada atasan (Bupati/Wali kota, Kepala Dinas) daripada memikirkan kesejahteraan bawahannya. Sungguh sangat ironis, belum lagi pemilihan pemimpin kepala daerah sekarang masuk kategori high cost. Political and Economic Consultancy (PERC) Hongkong menempatkan Indonesia sebagai negara terkorup di Asia. Masyarakat Transparansi Internasional menempatkan Indonesia sepuluh besar negara terkorup di muka bumi. Bahkan dari sisi etik, Indonesia dalam bahasa Gunnar Myrdal tergolong negara soft State, sering terjadi ketidakjelasan antara yang benar dengan salah, haq dan bathil
