Stunting merupakan masalah gizi kronis yang ditandai dengan tinggi badan anak yang kurang dari standar usianya. Stunting dapat terjadi karena berbagai faktor, seperti kekurangan asupan gizi, infeksi, dan lingkungan yang tidak sehat. Anak stunting lebih mudah sakit, memiliki IQ yang lebih rendah, dan produktivitasnya menurun saat dewasa. Masalah stunting di Indonesia masih sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil Survei Status Gizi Indonesia (SSGI) tahun 2019, prevalensi stunting di Indonesia masih mencapai 23,8%. Angka ini masih jauh di atas target pemerintah yang ingin menurunkan prevalensi stunting menjadi 14% pada tahun 2024. Perguruan tinggi memiliki peran penting dalam upaya pencegahan stunting. Perguruan tinggi dapat menghasilkan pengetahuan dan inovasi yang dapat diterapkan dalam upaya pencegahan stunting. Buku ini merupakan hasil kerjasama antara Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dan Poltekkes Kemenkes Mamuju. Buku ini membahas secara mendalam pentingnya peran lintas sektor dalam mengatasi stunting. Buku ini juga memberikan rekomendasi kebijakan untuk mengatasi stunting di Sulawesi Tengah dan Barat. Semoga buku ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi semua pihak yang terlibat dalam upaya pencegahan stunting. The main objective of the tool is to propose a harmonized, objective and consensual basis to analyse the performance of a national food control system. It is intended to be used by countries as a supporting basis for self-assessment to identify priority areas of improvement and plan sequential and coordinated activities to reach expected outcomes, and by repeating the assessment on a regular basis, countries can monitor their progresses. The Tool is based on Codex principles and Guidelines for National Food Control Systems as well as other relevant Codex guidance for food control systems, which are referenced throughout the document. Its scope is given by the dual objectives quoted in Codex guidance for these systems: protect health of consumers and ensure fair practices in the food trade.
