Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Allgemein, Note: 1,0, Universität Duisburg-Essen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit dient dem Zweck, die Grundprinzipien der Pädagogik Maria Montessoris darzustellen und diese auf ihre Aktualität hin kritisch zu überprüfen. Die vorliegende Arbeit gliedert sich in drei Teile: Im ersten Teil werden die Grundgedanken der montessorischen Pädagogik dargestellt. Auf deren Grundlage wird es im zweiten Teil um die Aktualität derselben in der heutigen Zeit gehen. Im dritten Teil werden die Hauptkritikpunkte an der Montessori-Pädagogik beleuchtet. Eingeleitet wird der erste Teil mit einer Biographie Montessoris. Schon hier wird deutlich, welche Entwicklung ihre pädagogischen Ideen durchlaufen haben. Die darauf folgende Schilderung im Kapitel 2.2 konzentriert sich auf die Grundprinzipien der Montessori-Pädagogik. Angesetzt wird dabei im Kapitel 2.2.1 bei ihren anthropologisch-pädagogischen Grundlagen, die den Ausgangspunkt für das weitere Verständnis dieser Arbeit bilden. In diesem Abschnitt werden zentrale Schlüsselbegriffe ihrer Entwicklungspsychologie dargestellt. In den anschließenden Kapiteln 2.2.2 bis 2.2.4 wird es um die vorbereitete Umgebung, die Lehrerrolle innerhalb der montessorischen Pädagogik und um die von Montessori entwickelten Entwicklungsmaterialien gehen. Besonderes Augenmerk wird dabei auf das Montessori-Material gelegt, da dieses einen bedeutsamen Stellenwert in der Montessori-Pädagogik einnimmt. Alle Materialien werden anhand eines Beispiels exemplarisch vorgestellt. Im zweiten Teil dieser Arbeit wird es im dritten Kapitel um die Aktualität der Montessori-Pädagogik gehen. Dabei werden zuerst in Kapitel 3.1 die Gründe für die heutige Montessori-Renaissance dargelegt. Anschließend wird die Pädagogik in Kapitel 3.2 auf ihre Relevanz hin innerhalb der Richtlinien für die Grundschule in Nordrhein-Westfalen überprüft. Ferner wird ihre Bedeutung in der heutigen Schulpädagogik in Kapitel 3.3 unter Berücksichtigung der heutigen veränderten Bedeutung von Kindheit und Schule näher beleuchtet. Weiterhin wird in Kapitel 3.4 dargelegt, wie die montessorische Methode in den Regelunterricht integriert werden kann. Der dritte Teil konzentriert sich in Kapitel 4 auf die Kritik an der Montessori-Pädagogik. Dabei stehen in Kapitel 4.1 zunächst Montessoris anthropologisch-pädagogischen Grundlagen in der Kritik. Der Fokus liegt hier auf der üblichen Kritik des Naturalismus, Individualismus und Intellektualismus. Die Kapitel 4.2. und 4.3 werden sich dann mit der Kritik an der Lehrerrolle und der Aktualität auseinandersetzen.

Es steht das gesamte deutsche Bildungssystem auf dem Pr fstand, vom Kindergarten bis hin zur Lehrerausbildung. Nun sind es die Jena-Plan Schulen nach Peter Petersen, die Freinet-, Montessori- oder Waldorf-Schulen, die gegenw rtig aus ihrem bisherigen Nischendasein hervor treten und als diskussionsw rdige neue Konzepte berdacht werden. This book is a result of a symposium at a recent annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association that explored foundational issues relative to situated cognition theory. Its chapters contribute to discourse about repositioning situated cognition theory within the broader supporting disciplines and to resolving the problematics addressed within the book. There is a cumulative vision to the book -- its theme is that the notion of the individual in situated cognition theory needs to be fundamentally reformulated. No theoretical reconfiguration of the social world or of social practices can overcome an individual cast in the dualist tradition. This reformulation probes the physiological, psychoanalytic, and semiotic constitution of persons. Chapters authors cover a wide range of topics including: * transfer of training -- arguing that traditional cognitive psychology has found precious little evidence of people's ability to apply knowledge gained in one context to the problems encountered in another; * ecosocial systems -- a new object of inquiry for situated cognition theory in which the primary units of analysis are not things or people, but processes and practices; * how linkages between discursive practices are manifested as semiotic chaining of signifiers for individuals engaged in everyday activities at home or at school; * how the ability to function in ways that are consistent with logic emerges not through reflective abstraction on actions, but through an enhanced sense of agency as more responsible roles are adopted in daily life practices; * the mutual constitution of social and individual knowledge -- familiar terms and concepts normally available through linguistic labels are cultural models, to be distinguished from the variegated and hidden mid-level meanings that reflect their situated uses in social activity; * the material (neurological) substrate through which cultural models and mid-level meanings emerge; and * how learning environments can be structured to take advantage of the perceptual underpinnings of cognition.
