Trotz der theoretischen Prominenz wurde seine Vielgestaltigkeit oft nicht anerkannt.0Für das Tegeler Werk des Lokomotivenherstellers Borsig entstand mit dem sogenannten Borsig-Turm das erste Hochhaus der Hauptstadt.
